Yes, these two classes are both dps. Rogues have high burst damage while rangers are more of a solo class. Therefore rangers don't have as high of damage as rogues do.

Actually you are partly right, a Ranger CAN be a tank with the right build. However, there is no way under the sun that a rogue can ever beat a druid-ranger or support druid at healing...

Yes, actually, max an energy shield, get some (5-6) druids with max abundance/bark/wards/abundant aura/embrace/breath/nat touch, and you could probably survive against that awe-inspiring enraged doomclaw. Maybe even an enraged wisp!!*

Although if he had swapped em around it would have made a lot more sense, rangers are healers and rogues are tanks. My average heal is about 1452, 1500+ with my full amount of heal gear, and I know several rogues in my world with 4k+ health for the sole purpose of tanking.

But how he said it, yes I think he meant it sarcastically. Don't you just hate it when you can't tell if someone is being sarcastic or not?
