I believe the str factor in skill and auto dmg is SQUAREROOTED, which means that there would be this point where further pt investment wouldn't do much.

I personally don't recommend putting pts in str at all (ur way better off putting them in vit, as the +6 hp is linear, will NOT be squarooted). Though maybe it's b/c I played with mage, I do noticed that the new equips and lux give alot of str buffs (120-300 if done properly, which is around the "sweet spot" for strength), and I don't assume warriors/rangers/rogues need to invest anything in focus since their skills don't use up *** loads of energy, and that their equips and luxes give sufficient energy.

This gives warriors, rogues, and perhaps even rangers an edge in PvE and PvP, while poor mages and druids must invest more than the "sweet spot" area (Focus) b/c if they don't, they'd run out of energy in the middle of a fight and die, unless they constantly pot.

We're just getting more and more levels... So its normal the stats should go up too and not get stuck

Back on-topic, the reason for the plateau is so that someone would not just make a warrior with all his points in vit and have extreme amounts of health, then make a ranger or rogue with every point in Strength so he hits insane amounts, as that, I'm sure everyone would agree, would be OP. On my rogue i have about 200 strength and 700ish melee, i once, for the fun of it, boosted it to 609 strength and only had 150ish extra damage, which also happens to be a very similar increase as having 300-350 strength.

A plateau is what is called an asymptote in mathematics. For example a function where you put in x and get a result y never gets beyond a certain value. The more you put in the closer and closer it gets - say to 1 - but never reaches it for finite values.

A square root function never flattens out and plateaus. There is no asymptote you can't cross.

And I'll tell you right now adding the 6-800 additional stats (3-400 in one and 3-400 in another) from the new end game event sets is very noticeable.

It just wouldn't make sense to sacrifice everything into strength at lower levels with average gear and be left with too little vit or dex on your ranger.
