UPDATE 3 - Almost a mistake perhaps (here's why)

#1
After reviewing all the good and bad this update has brought us... In my very strong opinion, the ratio between the good and bad is incredibly rediculus.

Although I speak my own opinions I can find many people who will agree with me on the following.

AFK taken away - pretty much
If your innactive for a certain period of time you will disconnect. This isnt necessary in my opinion. People afk for gold usually, and right now, it's very hard to earn gold. So this doesn't help. One thing they should've done instead is make all exp gains go down after some time to stop players from afking to level up. Much better idea.

Training abilities - I hope you got patience
They removed the common luther maccroin glitch in shalemont and the wisp tree glitch in stonevale with was used to max bow and wand abilities mostly. The training dummies they put in the castle die pretty quick... They shouldnt die in my opinion... Or atleast put a timer on it. Id even be happy if they charged a few thousand to use a training dummy for as long as u like until u leave.

Pot and idol cooldowns - you serious?
This is probably my number one complaint.

Were paying one thumb REAL MONEY to use pots and idols. We shouldn't be limited for crying out loud.

If you pay money you shouldnt be limited. Never heard of limits on what u can buy. And this is definatly a limit.

Bosses and mobs got harder, and our chance to survive is pots. Not even a Druid can keep up with the damage these bosses make. If we spend our real hard earned cash, we shouldn't be so limited like this.

Can't tell you how many times my exp pot expired just before a mob died and I couldn't put on another one because I had just healed myself. If I hadn't, I would've died. If I did, I wouldn't be able to use exp pot again. Ubsurd.

I refuse to invest more money in this game if it's going to be like this. Pot and idol cooldowns need to go.
And Ive convinced many people not to spend more money either.
ITS A WASTE AT THIS POINT TO BUY PLAT
World - Sulis
Clan - Toxic

H3ROsRogue - lvl 220 rogue
H3ROsRanger - lvl 200 ranger
H3ROsMage - lvl 220 mage
H3ROsDruid - lvl 220 druid
H3ROsWarrior - lvl 200 warrior
H3ROsLocker - lvl 190 rogue

Can't imagine losing kills to a ranger in 2019.

Yeah I totally agree man..I can't even make alot of money anymore and stonvale mobs r still overpowered as well as otherworld mob. I used to kill everything super fast in stonevale and its still really hard even with "patch" admin did..this is bogus, my skills hit really low and if I put all dps I find no difference and if I put it all in hp still the same weak rogue and I'm lvl 105. I still struggle with the lvl 90 mobs . I have 342 str and 1.5k str and instill suck but yep admin ain't gunna fix that we are just his money pigs and can make money off us.

I'm not agreeing at all, and it's not because I hate you.

AFK taken away: You prefer lags unlimited and full worlds?
Personnaly I would really hate a new update with more crashes or lags than the old one.
I also don't like not getting answer from people because they are afk.

Training ablities: They will remove all glitches they will find, if you're not happy quit the game.
You have some other mobs to train no exaggeration please.

Pots and idols cooldowns: You love soloing bosses to annoy ppl and doing the quests solo?
Potions are "cheat items" I think.
But, on this point, you're right a little because if you do bosses with other people, the tank only can survive with pots or idols.

Just lvl a little more and then you won't need idols or pots after...

PS: No one is forcing you to but plat.
Newton, mage - lvl 131+
DRUIDDS - lvl 117
And many more..

This post almost makes me mad on how wrong you are.

So for starters, you wanna bring back AFK... Really...
Coming from a lvl 97 mage that can't even AFK in dustwither I say no. Don't
Be pathetic and say that. It makes you look stupid.

Pots and idol cool downs were made so players couldn't solo bosses easily

I'm just gonna put that out there, I got to go so ill let someone else tell you how wrong you are.

P.S post things when you actually know something about succesful games

The cooldown on pots is necessary and consistent with other games. The cooldown made it necessary to level before your able to take down a boss. It doesnt make sense that a group of 90-110 should be taking down a level 130 BOSS. This is only possible with pots. People think that they should be able to stroll into otherworld and just start killing and if that was true, how fun would the game be once everyone is level 130? The otherworld is a long term world. If your healers can't keep up and your tank is dying too quickly, go level up.

This thread wreaks of entitled whiny-baby bullshi*.

no AFK, if you cannot understand how unfair AFK is to some classes, see if someone can lend you a brain for a bit.

And potions and Idols, are you kidding me... Look at the highest levels on every server, they are rogues soloing with potions... This is after-all supposed to be a group-oriented, interactive, social (insert any salient synonym of your choosing) MMO. You want faster rez times, find a druid with the rez spell.

I wouldnt go so far to call this update a mistake. Sure, they are many things that people disagree with, and i'm one of these people. If One Thumb could just have a few weeks to listen to all the feedback and see what they ave to imrpove on, im sure they will. Just give these people some time guys, i'm sure in a couple of weeks this game will be running smoothly.
I will occasionly browse the forums, but for the most part im done.

If you wish to contact me, please feel free to message, as my E-mail is hooked up with the messages :D

Thank you everyone, for making this a special game.

I disagree with all of this post, except the training dummies. Those need to get a big buff to be useful.

I used to think that AFK was needed, until I tried to actually level up and couldnt because there was a person camped at every single druid spawn spot in SV. And the truth is that you dont make that much money being AFK. I used to AFK in DC and make a couple thousand a day. Then I realized that doing bosses and selling frags got you the same amount of money for a fraction of the time spent. I do not want to go back to AFK. AFK is not some magical fix for the game. Its just annoying for the people that actually play, and doesnt even give that great of an advantage to the people that used to exploit it.

Pot cooldowns? Get a group of ultra pro players and you are fine. Still cant do the boss? You shouldnt be doing that boss then. Level up first.

Complaining about OTM using pots to take your money isn't very producive either. They are a business, and need money to survive. How do you think they got the money to develop the update? Every pot and lix that you buy gives OTM money to develop and refine this game. If you say that it is a waste of money to buy plat, then you obviously dont want this game to survive.

Complaining about a glitch being fixed isnt productive. There was a glitch, and you exploited it for the time it was there. now its gone because it was never designed to be there. Just be appreciative of the time you were able to use it and move on.

Training abilities is hard and it stinks. There is another post out there on how they dont like to grind. Here is the reality: if you dont like to grind, go plan Angry Birds. This is an MMORPG and grinding is a necessary part of the experience. This post or the other one referenced Everquest, and how its not popular because of grinding, but WoW is because you dont have to grind. If you feel that way then youve never played WoW. Try grinding enough reputation for your Orc to be able to ride one of the Forsaken's horses, and then come and talk to me about not having to grind.

The new quests are hard, but I think the only one that needs to be fixed is the red book pages (the mobs they drop from don't spawn enough). All the other ones are right in line with how they should be. I think its nice going back and keeping the old zones relevant. And realistically, a new player should be able to get these skills so it makes sense that the quests are in the existing zones. Starting from zero on the skills from the statue quests stinks, but then again see my previous answer to grinding and realize that the harder something is the greater the sense of accomplishment you will get.

All in all, i love the update although there are some minor adjustments to be made. I am looking forward for what is next!

Dude u have to understand that AFK was unfair. The pot delay is just to resolve the fact that some players solo mobs that weren't ment to b soloed. The mobs did et harder but that's y the abilities were put in to balance both out. Pots aren't needed for survival. If u want to raise ur abilities have fun doing it go to the arena for awhile with some friends and in no time ull have a high ability. So stop complaining and enjoy wat u got:D

I am not happy about Update 3 but not for the issues you discuss
pot cooldown is reasonable, just like skills have a cooldown.
AFK, good riddance try it with a mage hah.
Training dummys. I didn't realize we had any. I thought that is what mobs were for?

Ligitimate gripes about the game.
Individual class issues - will not mention it here that should be a discussion in the class groups
Energy - wow is this messed up. Lots of threads on that, wont copy it here
Money - the different vendors for different prices. Mistake put it back
Class Balancing effort - made things worse across the board. put it back
quests - I think they are great but the implementation method is really unfair to the lower classes. I feel sorry for someone trying to finish a defector quest. Also regarding quest drops good luck I only know one person with any new skills, if you have to kill an OW boss to get a new skill what are you going to use the skill for? The skills should be made available to you so you can fight the new bosses. I was really hoping the first OW quest would give me a skill not a stupid super heal potion. What good is a 5000 hp heal when I only have 1200 hp. I like the quests but the drops make no sense. But that is not new. By the time I was killing mobs in the Catacombs I already had better gear then the mobs dropped. Also the new quests don't "check off" when you have found something. It was really frustrating trying to shove a moonstone in a stature when I really need the "moonstone of cerridineskiwhatever".
Other World - Now this they got right, I have two complaints the drops are too hard. And the bosses are too easy. We are only one week in and people have already finished the save fairyland quest. We should need a group where at least half the group has acquired the new skills and had to level them to at least 10 to win a boss fight. Which means the skills and book bindings and other quest stuff should not be boss drops. The bosses should then drop things that you need to kill the bigger bosses, aka dragon.
Graphics - Outstanding but for the most part totally un-necessary. Please did you have to waste dev time making the laystones glow. What are we all radioactive now? But why is the chicken the default icon for drops?
Targeting- impossible to target a mob with a group beating on it.
chat - I like the new chat but I still hate red, it is very hard to read. I miss the ^y options we had before. I would always shout in yellow so it could be seen.
New items - I'm not fond of this bind on thing except for things you can never replace like warden. Why do I have to bind on a +1 ring? If I get better stuff why cant I sell it?
Jewlery page - Why do we have two necklace slots but can only wear one necklace? 4 rings are great but what goes in the other 2 slots? There is no explanations. Can you make the top 4 slots so we can put whatever we want in them, or all the slots for that matter.
PVP - Currently PVP is a contest of who has spent the most plat. There should be options to send a limited challenge like a fixed gear challenge where you walk in unequipped and both of you choose gear from a rack and your sigils are turned off. I would love a rebirth challenge where you get to respec all your skills and stats but only for that challenge then it all goes back to normal. You would look at the gear you had to choose from and then have to pick the gear and spec the toon to match the gear available. But I digress, the point is he who spent plat wins.
Help - Ever use microsoft help it is always technically correct and completely useless but at least they tried to help. The question mark is useless. What do the new abilities do? What can I put in this slot? The questionmark should divide the screen into shaded regions that when you tap a region it tells you what the thing is.
