Aileron you are incorrect

Otm does give warnings for shared accounts, I got a warning about a month ago from otm not to share my info as it is risky and can result in a ban of my account or stolen by another player :)

That's what I don't understand, why not ban it after something bad actually happens?

A couple of my clanmates got warnings for sharing accounts after a rival clan went on a reporting binge a while back. The reason I was told they got warnings instead of bans was that the sharing happened a long time ago, but there was no evidence of sharing since then. I think it's at OTMs discretion whether or not a person gets a ban or a warning. If I had to guess, they don't like to give hard rules about this because each offece is different and they want the flexibility to deal with them as they see fit.

I dont see why otm should ban shared accounts. Lets say i share it with my brother or close friend because i enjoy it that way and can do more why should it get banned if im fully aware that im sharing? If the player likes it why shouldnt otm.

The only accounts they allow to be shared are bank accounts due to not having a proper clan bank system in place. They also don't allow any type of botting/sharing accounts due to the fact that you're the one who is supposed to be leveling/working on your character, not anyone else. It's like the people who play WoW or EverQuest and farm out the grunt work overseas to Asian countries and pay them minuscule amounts of money to slave away for hours a day farming gold or leveling characters so that they can then sell it for real $$.

The other thing to think about is that even though it may be your best friend or your brother, what happens when they trade away an item that YOU loved, but they didn't. You log on and it's gone. OTM isn't gonna do squat about it because as far as they're aware, it was YOU that traded it, not your friend or brother. It's still beyond me that people share accounts...They may be your "friend" or blood relative... but greed and pixels aren't a good mix and bad things happen.

+1 I saw a person get scammed by their brother when he shared his account info. Another person I know got scammed by his cousin when his info was shared. In both cases the relative stole stuff from their account, and sold off expensive items.
