Re: A Short Guide to Good performance on old devices

Mostly its a memory problem that OTM can address, but who knows when.

If you double tap the home button, close CH, then hold the top button down and swipe off your device, restart it after it shuts down and open ch again you can make your iPhone 4S or even your iPad air 2 run much better.

Doing this my iPhone 4S loads the game and maps medium fast and I can open up the chat in .5-1s. Framerates are very smooth and I can avoid crashing almost completely. Even my iPad air 2 crashes if i dont do this at least daily. You may want to try this first but it does get annoying restarting your device twice a day.
What's your OS? One of the tweaks in the OP cleans RAM.

I use iOS from 7 to 9 I have 13 devices at the moment. It helps all of them, the newer devices don't see as much improvement as the older ones.

Hey mate, got something for Android users?
It's called Rooting, you can do alot more with it like increasing core clocks. I've never done it so couldn't tell you much more, try googling it though.
Rooting can definitely destroy your system, and even if it don't and let you do that, you'll have your software update blocked, so my tip is don't do it.
Overclock is like in PC, not recommended

Dropping your phone can destroy it too, so no one should ever pick theirs up, right?

I think you mean no one should drop their phone lol. Good advice.

With the exception of over clocking, rooting your phone is very very unlikely to damage it. In some cases you could be blacklisted from updates or simply not receive them but android updates are so far and few between you won't miss much.

The biggest risk is you are trusting the people who wrote the software not to seriously rip you off and steal everything. It's very hard to even detect this kind of attack.

That said if you are the least bit curious and follow some simple saftey measures you should root or jail break your phone. It is bs that you own a computer (phone) and the manufacturer tries to say you can't do what you want. Would you put up with a skateboard or snowboard that the manufacturer tried to make changes illegal? Or a car where the manufacturer tried making opening the hood a crime? People should take and interest and learn if that's what they want. It's your phone.
