But seriously, no one bothers to hotbar that assassimate ring O_o. Thats defo not an item that should be banked.

Not many of our rogues carry assassinate, maybe none even. Evades too much, high energy requirement, slow as molasses cast time, and totally useless on lock battles. But perhaps with these rings, maybe some might actually use them. Wish they were sneaky attack rings though.

Ooh, I think all our rogues carry assassinate haha. What skils do they use though? For lock battles qs/ss/sneaky is all you need I think. Plenty of skillpoints left to max a few other skills.

I don't use assassinate on my rogue. I had it and didn't like it. I'd rather use double attack, it's guaranteed hit and can use it all throughout the fight. Plus besides Proteus and Monolith, can only use Assassinate usually once and the boss is dead before it's available again. Maybe twice on Gelebron.

Since u can max 5 skills I think its fine to max it. Can do Sneaky, QS, Double Attack if u wish and u have enough pts for SS, Assassinate, Smoke Bomb, Rend or Expose Weaknesses, choose two from this list.

For gelebron fight, I think I'll go for max poison weapon

I tried using assasinate on proteus and it evadeds. It misses a little more then quick strike and really isn't worth the energy cost and very slow cast time and cooldown. I would rather spend the points on lifesteal.

+1 assassinate blows. It's even worse than missing an iceblast when it evades. Maybe for a hotbar with zero points it would be worth it though in a bidding system no one would ever buy it.

:| to each his own. I however would love that ring in any tier. And even if u have 1 point in assassinate you can still hot bar the ring to put skill to 15 and have that direct damage. That should be low enough energy consumption for your standards it sounds like.

To say 'I tried Assassinate and it evades' is quite wrong. Assassinate is just like Quick Strike, Sharp Shot, Pummel, Giant Swing and many more skills, it is physical evasion based skill, it is evaded as much as the skills mentioned, u might notice it more due it's long cooldown (which if u arent dualing, u can gear swap per cast for Assassinate which is really easy, as pigman suggested once before long time ago).

I use the plus 12 gele assassinate ring using hot swap. Didn't max the skill but set it at 20 n with the ring I boost the skill to 32. Together with the dmg bonus given by the ring, the overall dmg boost is quite good. Problem with this skill as pointed out by Criminal is that u only get to cast it late into the raid n it has Long cool down n when it is evaded, u get really pissed. Otm should make this skill like double Attk or sneaky which can't be evaded. Why give a skill u can only cast like once or twice in a raid n then got evaded? That's why people don't max this skill because when it is evaded all the skill points put into it were wasted.

I don't think each "physical evasion" skill has the same chance of being inflicted. Freezers at proteus seem to inflict wayyy more often than bashers, despite the warrior having equal or higher melee combat ability than the mage ice magic. Maybe my sample size is too small, but a warrior in my clan has over 4k melee combat and lands only 3 bashes the whole fight sometimes, whereas 3k ice lets me inflict almost half my freezes lol. And both skills are movement evasion based
