I hear all sorts of things. Is this only effective for magic user to use? If so why? Or is it a good helm for anybody? I've been advised not to get it for my rogue but don't see why? So what if it does magic damage instead of pierce. I don't care if it does marshmallow damage as long as it does the damage. Advice please?

Here is why:

Bloodlust as an example, has 10 pierce damage. This is not a set amount of damage, but rather a factor that is multiplied and put in some equation that ends up adding alot more damage in stats which is also included in actual damage.

Magic, poison, fire, and ice damage are all set amounts. 8 fire damage is 8 damage added to your damage stat. 5 poison damage is 5 damage added to your damage stat. 20 magic damage is 20 damage to your damage stat.

Yup, my bloodlust adds 60 dmg. Pierce, slashing, and crushing dmg are usually what you need to look for to get str factored in. My 5dmg pierce bracelet gives me 30 extra dmg. On the other hand, my 3 poison dmg only adds 3 dmg.
