I don't use the whistles. I just pay the 100 gold. Yes that means I have to finish the rest of the battle without my mount, but that just makes me work harder to not die. And if I'm headed to a fight I think I might not win, I dismount before I get there so I can save that 100 gold (and that walk of shame to the npc holding my mount hostage).

When you get to a higher level death at a boss is inevitable and mount skills/stats are good dps

I like combat mount system and don't mind spending plat on that.
I only have one request: could you please add one more notification so when we die on Combat Mount we would have another option to use one resurrection idol + one whistle at the same time. Currently, it's very annoying when I die on killing a boss like Gelebron and have to find Whistles on one of 6 pages hot bar. And please also add the feature that when we die and running out of whistle, it will take us directly to the window Shop on Whistle item menu.

This is exactly how I would feel, I would just treat the mount as an ordinary mount we have received in the past. By that I mean I'll take it off before every fight. Stats are ok, skill is ok, but is it worth buying all of the tokens? No... I would much rather stick with my 80/10 serpent staff. The problem is that people are taking these mounts way to seriously and because of that they expect for the best and when the best isn't given to them for reasons that shouldn't concern them, they complain as usual

I agree that the mount whistle feature was a giant kick in the teeth. But, OTM can redeem themselves if they add mount whistles to the bounty shop. Maybe 1 favor per whistle. Doesn't seem too harsh. Probably takes minutes to implement, and all the outrage in regards to mount whistles is completely negated. Also, i like sterk's idea but i'm on an iphone and that would cover my ENTIRE screen XD.

Edit: Now that i think about it, i think it should be a hunter's boon (10 favors) per 5 whistles. It's fairly easy to get bounty tokens and a 1:1 ratio would make having whistles in the plat shop redundant.

Paying plat is not at all a punishment, its a get out of jail free apple, but you have hundreds of them. Death has little to no meaning when elixers remain, and the stat penalty is minimal. Having to revive your mount as well? Meh its annoying but if we expect mounts to not need a whistle the death penalty should be more powerful. You should play to avoid death not play alongside it... my opinion anyhow

honestly , as a too much plat buyer I'm too disappointed with the NO TRADE more than how much it costs or differences between lower and higher tier or mount idols ( as Warrior , I know it's bad for other toons as I have the rogue and mage)

I have more than 3 109% mounts but You pay nearly 20m and then you can't trade it at all between your alts atleast

Or the level requirement , That's worst Idea to have lvl req on mounts it should be deleted .

For pets it's understandable , but no mounts shop no mounts from chests and only way is tokens and you can't trade it at end. Too disappointing it needs to be changes

Feel free to explain how mages/rogues can prevent their massive deaths at raids. Most rogues are full vit already due to the massive aeos. This game fundementally makes it so that players die, no matter the set up. Give rogues/mages better resists/armour and then we can maybe start talking about penalizing deaths.

-1 personally i think get rid of the whistles but keep the dismount on death feature. People die too much in this game because its what they are used to. Death should be more punishing than it is

I agree, if death was more penalizing then perhaps skills like spring to life or maybe even rescue would be much more useful/effective. People brush death off like it's nothing, that should not be the case
