Why not just make them only work on Gele crystals? Like with Otherworld scrolls :?

I've reread through the threads involving fissures and there was only 1 suggestion for lowering their rate. The other suggestions was to make them so they only work in sanctum. The biggest complaint is they were being used on snorri. So I'm not sure how you can say you're adjusting them this way based on feedback
This is how they have been. They read feedback differently from what players are saying, and even done things in the past completely out of left field.
I guess we all shouldn't be surprised by the path OTM has taken.

What's ironic is that this change affect everything else positively besides the boss the runes were originally made for. Clans that rely on using runes and fissures on a Gelebron battle are royally screwed.

Hey Heroes,

Just a quick post to give a Design perspective and reasoning behind why we were looking to adjust drop rates to be lower as an alternative to the suggested solutions:

Suggestion: Runes only work on crystals
This now prevents clans dedicated enough to farm these for boss fights from using them. The items overall value goes down and it becomes a situational consumable.

Suggestion: Level lock 215
Larger higher level clans can now with a man advantage maintain a rune farming advantage, which could in turn be used to consistently win locks on Proteus and Gelebron.
Edit: Helpful catch-up mechanic for low levels.

Nothing has yet been finalized in regards to the items drop rates, we are still taking player feedback under consideration.

I think they should stay the same, Runes are used greatly be everyone and taking them away will ruin things for a lot of clans... they are needed for crystals and sometimes locking. If you made them just for crystals then they will b almost useless and if u degraded drop rate then that would make it horrible for people who want them to lock...

Dang I have been playing for a few years and haven't even made it far enough in a game to even know what y'all are talking about lol when y'all are talking about lowering the drop rate wow

What you can do is higher the rate of flawless crystals in ring bosses.

The drop rate is ridiculously low.
Please reconsider changing the drop rate and please dont make any hasty desicions..

I think this is more priority. The rate of imperial spawns is low enough, add to that the fact that flawless drops are even lower and you're left with a bad situation.

If they are putting in the effort to farm the scrolls then they should be rewarded in some way. Not with insta-locks though.

Is there any way to keep the damage they do to crystals while reducing the damage they do to regular mobs? Like keeping half the elemental damage while adding that a "direct crystal damage" element.

Higher level clans can now solely farm these and use their multiple high level toons to dominate smaller clans with fewer high level toons on Proteus and Gelebron.
This argument makes no sense to me. You can't affect Gele/Prot until you're 215 anyway. This just prevents them from putting them on lvl locker alts for instant locks. Would have 0 effect on Gele/Prod raids.

Smh.. lol

Its supposed to be an benefit and good upgrade of the game.. not make it worse.. ppl who put the time in should be able to earn their stuff as they do today.. if you want you can also farm runes and go battle with clans for locks.. I dont see the issue.
Lame fix to a problem that doesnt exist.
You should aim on more important stuff and priorotize these first.

Just my 2 cents worth!

I don't understand this. Only 215+ and above can solely farm runes.
Dominant clans or less dominant clans would have to have level 215+ members to get these runes. The problem is when you give the runes to be used by lower levels.
If you are a clan without any 215+ members, then you are already at a disadvantage. How can you say that smaller clans benefit?

Easy Solution...
Make 215 the level requirement to use the Runes, meaning a player can't farm them on a 220, give them to a 190 and spam them on Snorri
