Been saying this for years. "Get rid of target lock".

If you really want to help people who take forever to lvl or lower clans that complain a lot, then have target lock for everything but raid bosses.

Don't just ignore this topic. You wanted players feedback, now here us out!

Best days for battles was before target lock when clans fought till the end to see who got killl. Was way more exciting and a lot for fun. Rogues using distract ;) good ol' days.
Ya man, but back then people didn't have op gear like there is today. Level lock is here for a good reason, give lower levels a chance at something. It was fun back then, but I don't think it would work present day
True but low levels can level up. Problem solved. You can reach 220 in no time now. Much easier than it used to be.
No no no. It's still very expensive to reach 220. Yea it's much easier but that doesn't mean that everyone can easily level to 215+

I am pretty sure OTM knows their own statistics. Morrigan is a ghost town with only one clan with limited resources (not able to get drops because of the hoarding of end game bosses throughout the years). If this current system (which has guided OTM by this top clan for many years) was working so perfectly there would be no need for cross platform. Morrigan would be filling up with players rising to compete against them. Instead they had to make it where already versed people on android can now play on any server opening up a Crack in this top clans armor. In my opinion 75 % of the current faults can be traced back to top clans guiding OTM to benifit them and not benifit all players. Just my observation from many years of playing both ios and android.

Off topic though. This has nothing to do with the op. Maybe make a new thread if you're still feeling slighted from 4 years ago and need to get it out? Or maybe come visit morrigan (or any other server who was once "dominated" by clan. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised :)

I have been on my iPad playing my old toons 3 days in a row now. Whenever I logged into play I made rounds and soloed grommack and all the way down to Avatar of Donn. Just the ones that was up probably 50% of them were. This was around 7-8 central time. I could have just so happened to log on around the time it was a dead spot, but I don't know I only have 3 days in a row to go off of.
2nd observation.
Those 3 days I checked out auction house. Each day there was 12-14 pages of ALL ITEMS in auction house. Now compare that to at any given time you can have 40-60 pages on all items in Donn.

This is just my personal observations. This is why I said OTM knows there own statistics. I understand that when certain people hear an opinion different from theirs they point, ridicule, and drag up old stuff. Other than that I will say this again. *********THIS IS MY OWN OPINIONS AND OBSERVATIONS**********

As Blue stated, the original post wasn't about level lock or abolishing it. It's about rolling back levels for a 233 toon to the zenith of level lock at 230 for Proteus and Gelebron.

All opinions of game mechanics aside, it's a bad idea to grant this request in my opinion. Regardless of server or clan, if you are Proteus or Gelebron ready would you want to face a lock group full of toons previously above 230 now set back to 230? No.

Blue may be the first to ask, and if granted will not be the last to ask. That is reasonable to expect to happen immediately on every server that has any competition for those two bosses and has any toons over 230.

It IS about level lock though. It's about how level lock is not fair for ALL players. Times change, crits, insta cast pets and mounts were added so the level lock mechanics need to evolve too. It's just too much damage in too little of a window. It's about how a player at 230 now has to choose between being able to do bounties or staying competitive. It's made my toon less effective and no it wasn't a well known fact that the cut off was 10 levels. It's also about new players being forced to stay 190 in order to stay competitive to get their crowns. It's about new players leaving their main rogues and rangers behind at and creating "locker toons" so they may continue to level their mains. It's about these same players making alts to compete at grom too. It's nuts and it makes for a bad gaming experience. It's wrong and I'm sure it wasn't intended by otm to be like this.

I never once thought OTM would actually put my levels back, though I wish they would and that is just showing that something very wrong with this game. I think there are other ways to fix this issue but I wanted to avoid the whole forum thing if I possibly could. Unfortunately, they rejected my request so here we are! What I do expect though, is that they listen to all the feedback and I trust they're smart enough to weed out the biased opinions. I wish so much some of these newer players would speak up. Silent majority right?

I totally understand why you wouldn't want my toon to be proper competition. Any little that keeps your opposing clan down is great! It does nothing for you or your clan if I was put back in the same playing field so why would you support such a thing? I truly believe that if I were any other player from any other server or if you yourelf were 231 you would not have such a strong opposing opinion on this matter.

It might just be that I fail to see how your personal gaming experience is becoming less enjoyable. You are part of Avalon, easily one of the most well known and most powerful clans in the game. By "down" you mean that it's harder for one of your 5 toons to continue to kill Gelebron. A feat that you have done a record number of times and hold a very quick time of doing so. I have nothing but respect for your clan's ability and your ability as a player.

I however do not feel sorry or ashamed at opposing something that would make it more difficult for me or my clanmates to achieve end game armor and weapons and the thrill of killing Gelebron. You are incorrect however on how I'd feel if I was in your place. I feel anyone who is willing to put in the time should enjoy all the content of the game. Anyone who levels to 220 should have a shot at Gelebron and DG armor if they can be team player. And to anyone who disagrees with me from another server, fight a fully geared group of Avalon sometime and see if you still feel the same after months of competing for every spawn of everything. I do not have any sympathy for anyone who has everything the game has to offer and still feels slighted somehow.

Sorry we don't see eye to eye on this. I also hope OTM keeps the silent majority and newer players in mind. Removing level lock or rolling back levels isn't going to help them achieve endgame goals on any server.

Edit: this will be my last post on the subject in anticipation of thread lock and moderator involvement
