Today OTM decided to ban one of the key players in the game as a whole, not just on arawn, but in the game as a whole, as I feel it is safe to say that Arawn is one of the key servers of the game in terms of profits OTM receives and in terms of quantity and quality of EG players. OTM banned this player for nothing other than something they rarely ever ban any player of in the past, smack talking another player. In the past, idk, 6 years of the game, OTM has always responded "block the other player," but for some reason this time around they jumped the warning stage and jump right to banning this player for a week. Not only did the player getting smack talk more than deserve it for smack talking the entire clan on 3rd party software, in game, scamming the clan, scamming loaned gear from members of the clan... but there is no precedent for this type of action. I can confirm that until OTM rectifys this egregious display of misused power Resurgence will be in a plat boycott....

But this isn't all... The content on which OTM initiated the ban is 100% out of context. Not only is the player that did the reporting one that should have been banned ages ago for violating the TOS, but one that started the exchange of smack talk in the first place...
This player has
-) been selling gold for *** for about 2 years
-) has sold and bought accounts
-) using fake facebook profile pictures to fake his identity on 3rd party apps (not a violation of TOS but just wrong...)
-) engaged in smack talking constantly online and on 3rd party software

and then the member i discuss above got banned for defending his clan and his views and got banned.... OTM needs to defend their TOS more closely and defend their precedents. They should have told the reportee to block this player, or sent the player a warning, but instead they jump to a ban?

Not only has the reportee been reported for violating TOS for a while and OTM completely ignores this, but OTM jumps to this violaters defense and skips all protocol to ban another player who has followed the rules to the letter...

To reaffirm, Resurgence of Arawn is in a plat boycott until this is fixed...

Agreed, arawn has a history of abusive players however the player you chose to take action against is not one of them. You instead chose to ban a decent figure in this community. Banning someone for inconsistent smack talk against someone who has consistently been spiteful to resurgence and it's members is outrageous. This downright unjustified banning needs to be rectified, banning someone for abusive language is a laugh given the things that slide.

IMO ban feature should only be used on scammers that make fake OTM toons. People have been calling for bans on all other scammers since forever but doesn't look realistic in game anymore.

Trash talking is a part of the game and real life, it's not ideal but its free speech and can easily be blocked in game with the click of three buttons. Ban is overdoing it and I hope OTM realizes the mistake and fixes it.

Get them to contact [email protected] with their account information and our appeals team will process their appeal.

If it was a minor offence it will be handled quickly.

The Support Team take action based upon in-game evidence, third party is outwith our control.
