Hey, so i’ve been thinking of a way that dragon pets could be obtained not only in chests but by anyone. This way will take a long time but considering the uniqueness of these dragons to other pets this is understandable.

My idea is to implement dragon egg fragments. And it will require 5 fragments to make 1 egg. So you will need 30 fragments to get the max dragon pet.

One idea of obtaining these fragments would be through the daily log in rewards. At the end of each cycle a fragment would be obtained, of course making them no trade. I understand this would take about 2 and a half years to get the max dragon but the amount of fragments needed per egg could maybe lower.

The other idea of obtaining the fragments would be through the bounty system. The fragments would be a rare drop for completing a bounty and non tradeable. Or they could be sold through the bounty system for a large amount of tokens.

This idea may have to be tweaked a bit but i believe it’s a good alternative to obtaining the dragon pet.

Why not put fragments in Chests instead of whole eggs?

Add: the problem won't be completely solved with alternative ways of obtaining it. Cause everyone will then use the same elite pet (through the alternative ways) and it's going to be boring as fk.

Just make these chests 'exclusive' for 3 months. Okay maybe meanwhile u wasted 3 months training an unwanted pet's ability but think of it as extra plus to those who supported with cash. After that, obtainable though normal tokens. No need of alternative ways. Higher exchange rates (1.5-2x) for such elite pets. OTM to continue releasing other elite pets in future. The idea of a non-chest way of obtaining a hatchling was raised in the beta forums. In fact similar if not identical ideas were discussed. They know about it. They chose not to implement it. Obviously, there's an early adopter fee for the pet. Maybe they will do something in the future, but I assure you this point was raised.

the way i see is otm needs money to make future update and stability of its company so for now dragon pet is the key since its only available from chest....whats the point of buying chest if ppl get these same stuff from alternative no matter the time required beside we have other pets which are great too. dont get greedy on it.. we all want it but just think of it as a bonus who spends lots of real life cash just to get it which is fair to them...its just a pet.game offers alot more so dont just focus on it..if u want it that bad then i recommend to buy chest from rl money or from player.

I want to see eggs be obtainable through fishing to put some more meaning into it. Plus the egg fragments make no sense lol. You put together a broken egg shell with nothing in it and then a dragon magically pops out?

Great idea it can even be a login reward( the final one) , I would have liked it more if they released the dragon with a quest where you get the eggs in 5-10 pieces, and then you have to wait 5-7 days for the egg to hatch and then you can breed and this quest can only be done once a month, this means that for players who don’t buy plat they will get the premium pets in 6months, which is reasonable to me as the plat alternative saves a lot of effort.
