I didn't join a clan until 80+ all of these complaints about not being able to do bosses ect... really is meaningless and should not be taken seriously.
This is how the game went for me, I leveled saved all my gold never bought anything but armor to help me level and gain even more gold.
But something happened on levels 70-95 in order for me to upgrade I need to kill bosses so in order to do that I need a clan.
So you know what I did?
Shouted to buy all disc but DD's, then once I was a level 85 with no DD chest or weapon I finally started to look for a clan.
And very soon after got both DD chest and Weapon.
Only because my clan didn't have to flat out give me stuff I already had most upgrades and showed them that I was a serious player that way, which made getting into a good clan super easy!
But it did not take a single month it took 2 months of grinding seriously every night I had time. Not 1-3 hours I'm taking 8-10 hours a day.

And this is for you real dumb people out there that don't understand about being annoying.
Remember that first month or two you were playing shouting give me gold sending every higher level you see a trade, a group invite and a friend request only makes your odds of ever getting into good clan next to impossible.
Clans will talk about you and how annoying you are. Most clans ask all higher members if they have a problem if so and so joins, and all it takes is that one clan member to say I don't want him in he's a noob and your chances of getting in the clan are now gone.

I have had the same player for 2 months now send me a friend request everyday and I never accept it you know why? This is what I told him, because he's never said one word to me so how can I be his friend!?
This is a simple rule that all noobs should follow how can any of these high level people be your friend if you've never spoken to them at all?

Bottom line is no one wants to work for anything they want it all given to them a level 10 signs on see someone will full diamond and now they don't plan on spending any money at all until they can buy diamond when that truly is the last thing you should worry about.

The problems with the disc is that the very high level clans hoarde them. This is a game if its not fun and enjoyable people will not play. The disc problem compound throughout the game. N o warden no cosmic and soforth. I have bought plat so you cant use that response.

if you level up you can join a clan that gives discs to its members, thats what the OP was pointing out

I remember asking a lvl 99 pre-update for 100k... And sending friend requests to random ppl...

All true about new players and how it works.

The only thing I would to add would be; sometimes I see a low level player and will: a give a buff, befriend or give a gift randomly. I will never do this with a shouter, beggar, demander. We do sometimes take a low level under our wing and help along the way. but is is never someone who commits the sins you have outlined. generally its someone who is nice and polite, who I have had a friendly conversation with. the "Can you plz plz plz plz help me!!!!!" is not the way to get my interest( if I'm in SV, Shale or lirs I'm probably busy doing something like boss hunting and just get annoyed by the wisper).

Not to mention I am level 116 and all the top players in Beleneus know and respect me. However I do not agree with how they run thier clans so I started my own.

OP, should that disqualify me from getting a warden breastplate?

I agreed w HoenheimOfLight, I am now lvl 91, I havent constantly joined a clan until I was lvl 80s and I was invited to join the clan. When I havent joined any clan, I would ask ppl who invited me for the clan, what does the clan do? it looks to be a stupid question and the reason why I asked is because when I joined few clans in the past, it s really nothing happened, no communication, no ppl show up or chat etc., so I quitted and go by my own; when I joined a good clan, I understood what clan does, it really needs constant chat, make friendship and helps each other which means the clan member needs to learn how to be a friend of someone before he asks for a fiendship or request help from his clan member; BUT it is true that it makes easier to work out w the clan thing after you grow and being invited rather than you ask if you can join any specific clan where no one knows who you are, and most of time they will refuse your request. Offcourse it s different story when you join a clan where you already had real friend there in the real life.

I understand the frustrations of the new players where they really wanted to lvl faster, but there is always a path which the new players need to get thru, means you have to do it by yourself and not rely on anyone in the first round, and then you will no longer shout and yell for someone's help, if your lvl hasnt been up, lvl up then! its also quite annoying when I walked by the castle, number of times several low lvl players (whom I didnt know who they were) asked me for gold, I would block them immediately, they have to work it out by themselves. Definitely in some cases, someone really needed help to complete quest, I will just walk in and do whatever I could tho I dont know who they are.

However in our world, the disc or some important drops has always been captured by one or two main clans, this is not so healthy; it looks like you could never get in to the group and work together. in short, I would say this is only a game, just enjoy and get fun of it, its to entertain us not we being slaved by it, sometimes we are too serious enough for someone saying something or how they treat you in the game, take it easy

Numerous people on my world offered me full set of Frags when I was in my 60's, I never accepted them because I enjoy the quest, the drops, the quest and fights of it all. I am definately an old school type of player. I didn't finish full warden until 87.

That said, I still consider there to be a real middle ground line between a system that makes you work really hard, and a system that makes demands on you to work too hard. Currently the system needs tweaks, it simply does...and in someways, it always, always has needed them. Just because we suffered thru it, doesn't mean everyone needs to, systems such as dragon frags can be made better.

I personally think the system should get those tweaks, as well I think new players should man/woman up and play the game. If both things are done the game can be simply better for everyone.

I still don't even know what a dragon frag looks like an I'm 105....
