Re: New loot table. (being patched tomorrow)

I think he may have gotten this post mixed up with yours http://www.onethumbmobile.com/celticher ... =4&t=14412
Both posts deal with the new patch, but the one at the link talks more about what the patch may or may not do for classes. This one is about the new loot table.
Mmm, the beginning of his post says '*casts calm on BLDR-7*' (it's BLRD-7 btw)..

It was just a dumb ass, un-thought out, meaningless post

BLRD-7, apologies for spelling your name wrong. As for whether I posted in the wrong thread, perhaps I should have cross-posted to the other patch thread. I also apologize for targeting you, specifically, with my *calm*. The intention of my post was to call attention to these facts generally, and not you specifically:
  • OTM is generally pretty good about responding to user feedbackk
  • OTM is generally pretty good about pre-announcing patch details
  • the active forum user base often responds to patch notices with suggestions for improvements, requests for further changes, or outright claims that 'OTM got it wrong'. Also occasional thanks, but more often criticism
As someone who has done creative and/or development work for a living, I've seen this pattern before. At some point the creatives--and software development is creative--just stop listening to input. Because "you got it wrong" (or something similar; what you see as fine tuning is often seen as direct criticism by some) is the last thing a developer wants to hear when they make an annoucement along the lines of "Hey, we've listened to user feedback and we've got a great new patch we're really excited about. We think you're gonna love it, and we think its gonna fix a bunch of issues people have mentioned. Plus, new content. Off the top of my head, here are some of the things you can expect."

All I'm saying, I guess, is maybe play it a bit first, before you suggest tweaks.
