One time i killed 15 purple unicorns in a day. Not too rare at all.

Sometimes it seems like things take forever to spawn, but it really is just based on luck and being in the right place at the right time. Sometimes I used to see no crystal horns for days, and other times I have seen many in one day.
Unfortunately, the upgrade items can take a while to get, and it seems like you have had a bad streak of luck, sorry to say :/
Hopefully one spawns for you soon. But if you still don't find a diamond crystal horn, try buying one. Many people, at least in gwydion, sell them for 1-3k or so higher than what the luxury shop pays for them.

Wow 10-20k that's quite a chunk of change. But I suppose it all depends on the seller, and how much it is worth to the buyer to get their meteoric.

it's +1-3k more than the vendor price.

I think prices went up just recently because the red books/bindings now made faerie and boar diamonds even more rarer. It's easier to just get xp/gold than farm old stonevale mobs and waste time there.

If you need a group to kill Crystalhorn then you are in the wrong zone. Go back to Dustwither Catacombs and level up a bit more. You will get better xp and more loot for your time.
