Re: More the one type of weapon

Hey what is a sap?

Crowed control weapon that u can usually use to knock out someone for like 30 or 60 sec
Does no dmg just stuns really

And usually a sap only works on one npc at a time and usually can't be target of that npc to use it on them
A Sap is a club or small bag weighted with lead or other heavy material, covered in padded leather or cloth. It is designed to knock someone out with out killing them i.e. less than lethal.
A mugger might carry a small bag of lead shot to knock out there victims before robbing them.

I think, if you are able to train in all weapon types, there should be some sort of penalty when using a weapon of another class.
For instance, a mage using a two handed sword should not be doing the same damage as a warrior.

It was meant as an example.
I should have been more specific and said they have the same stats.
I know there aren't mages running around with 150 str, but it's still an example.

It's all about keeping balance...
A mage with 150 str using a two handed sword, should not deal the same damage as a warrior with 150 str.

This is also with no regards to skills.

I think that each class should get to train in 2-3 weapon types and warriors should get to train in ALL of them...

Druids could use staves, wands, and blunt weapons.
Mages could use wands, staves and knives (but no dual wield).
Rangers could use swords, bows and knives.
Rogues could use knives, swords, and bows or crossbows (new weapon type).

Haven't really thought about how spears would fit in to it...

And no glocks... ;)
