Re: Monsters to kill per level is *not* linear (admin) PROOF

He did wonderful job if you players take the time the e takes to try to figure out dynamics if the game,

I think his curiosity is because the game lacks a fix number of exp need it. And early lvls exp jumps are so ambiguos the doesnt make sense .

But a fact is the all 1 stars mobs exp is your lvl got with same lvl of the mob.

All this equtions are mobs at same lvl as you and only 1 star

I personally understand the graph it has more of a x to the power of 2 then a y=x or y=2x graph. Clearly some can't see that's so saying make it easier to see with exp
Understood, but let's be honest, the people who can't see the numbers just never will be able to. They either lack the focus, medication, brains or maturity. You can lead a horse to water, but it takes like 8 people to forcibly drown it.

the total exp per lvl is linear for sure. For example, when i kill a lord solo on an elix, i have been getting the same % every lvl since 145. The exp per mob probably increases linearly as well.

Once you get past 151 the amount of monsters to kill to lvl goes way up. Look at four star monster kills and notice how almost everyone in the top ranks is 150 or close. That is because you kill more and more to lvl.

There is nothing wrong with that. I like it, hard caps are no fun for anyone. I like being able to lvl past 150 even though the monsters stop at 150.

I know for a fact that your graph is wrong. The total exp per lvl is not smooth. The total exp is a piecewise graph where each step increases linearly. Then there is a small step up in total exp to lvl. then it increases linearly again.

So the amount of monsters per lvl shouldn't be a smooth curve.

To solve this, I suggest obtaining more data points to increase the data's reliability. :)

Your graph would be a lot easier to understand if you didn't use kills but used total exp. of corse would be harder to plot. But I am guessing your not gettin through to most due to the fact u have kills rather then total exp. but ur calculations seem pretty sound but that's just off the top of my head. I think the best thing u can do is find out how much exp is in each 10% of a level to explain to people better. You have how many kills for each 10% now just need to works out the exp gained in those kills. Then I am guessing your feedback would increase but good job :)
I did that before. Look at the link on the bottom of the post.

Your seriously saying this? Just because you think it is one way doesn't refute the data.

Is it perfectly smooth curve? no, but pretty dang close. And it certainly isn't a straight line lol.

And any part of this curve would look linear if you only looked at 140-145 or 5-10. That doesn't mean its linear, it just means you arent lookin at enough of the curve to see it is a curve.

then when you actually test it and get something different let me know.
