Double xp week is a bad idea.

How about a weekly happy hour , maybe make double xp for like 3 or 4 hours each week , would be fun and not destroy the game as xp week would.
Well when I played another MMO, it would start once you logged on and last for only one hour. It happened everyday, but instead of happening everyday, it could happen like once a month and last for about 3-4 hours. That way the casual player could also benefit without having to put their life on hold.

That is true and this is something that will have to be tested. As of right now, I see plenty of variables involved with it: how many players buy plat or lixirs in game, how many people will use the entire time, the length of the event, build the player uses, how long it takes for them to kill a mob, and if they are going to group or not.

I think the idea could work if there was time taken to work out all the problems. Even if it was for 1 hour. That's like one lixir a week for a month or 4 lixirs for free.

I don't see the big fuss in an occasional double xp weekend, by occasional I mean maybe three times a year. People go nuts over it being 8X normal rates on elix but how many actually seriously train without elixirs, it is really only double what most people train on.

Also, if someone can go 0 to 130 on a double xp weekend like was claimed then they can go 0 to 130 in two normal weekends.

This is so true. All of it! I take back my idea. I'm with Guffy.

Most people don't use lixirs until they hit the higher levels and we all know that higher levels make up a small percentage of the game and even a smaller percentage of high level players.

Level 1 to 130 isn't the issue. It's 120-150 that shortens the game with double xp and elixirs. It took about 30 wyverns to get a level, that's just not right.

I completely disagree. Prior to the double xp weekend I had a bunch of friends that I used to level with. All within a few levels of me and none of us used elixers.

I missed out of the whole weekend and when I came back I was still 108 and everybody else was 124. They bought lix for one weekend only and havn't bought lix since.

if it is too hard to level, the problem is the base formula not some deficiency of events.

I have never bought a pot or lix and have no intention to start. I spend my plat on other things.

There isn't really opinion that I am going off of, I am saying if your friends can do it in one double exp weekend then you can do it in two normal weekends.

This isn't opinion, it is fact.

That is like someone writing 1+1=2 and you saying you disagree.
It's not quite 2+2 that is getting carried away. Twice as much time twice as many elixers , twice as many mobs to find , twice as many groups to find , but I don't completely disagree with you , people wanted to xp more during the double xp weekend making it that much easier to level.
