lols afk was great and hekped get gold for the super awsome redclaw armour (best armour in u2) then u could lvl up to 50 farm more gold for patch to buy the ancient plate armour. thats what i did and i got sad when they took it away.

The armor was pretty cool and afk sucked if you didnt have regens or sigils so for poor noobs like me it was horrible have high levels camp cata for hours on end

i didnt have regen didnt even know regen existed till update 2 lol yea ik there were warden and only met weps i believe then a patch came for met armour. just a noob seeing the ancient plate only few could get they day of patch i got myself a ancient plate bp all i could afford at that time.

I hated ppl who afk farmed..... I'd try and kill some mobs but ppl had taken their spots lol. I remember someone once said to F off because I was lvling in his farming "spot" in DC.....

I used to gain aggro of the mob and drag the afker to a nearby boss c:
I remember dragging someone to a 2* deadroot and they afk killed it xDDD
Sad that its gone as you don't gain aggro for lower level mobs making afking there silly
I occasionally set my char on a 1* 2* spawn at my level and come back every 6-8 mins to heal.

afk farming is still possible, you need stuff like a rotary fan and a fruit. Ask mdimarco, he posted a video of it

I saw this video... it basically was that you stuck a peeled grape on a plug that was in the wall the had the fan blow it around on your screen so you don't get logged out

If anything we should all realize that afk farming was useful... You can get money from standing around. You can be at your desk job and only have to watch every 30 minutes or so to keep it online. Prob one ofthe better things from update 2. Not to mention nowadays this could have been very resourceful for increasing skill evasion abilities and combat abilities if not yet maxed. This was honestly the reason why I had managed to get lux gear and train my character properly. I find this to be definitely a good factor if reentered into the game.

Lol it is still possible but I do not want anyone doing it so I will not explain how.

Its taken me two years to get enough gold for heroic boots, full lunar, diamond bow, golden quiver, and all my expensive items. I didn't get plat. But, yes it takes a very long time. I've bought other stuff and sold it and so on, but it is near impossible for me to get lux quick.

No plat used ---> 2 full frozen charatcers and 1 almost full meteoric one.
Level 111/121/168 ( still counting ) and 2 offhands, 2 20 regen braces and 40/40 ammy.
I bought plat once (10$) just to increase backpack space but i didnt use it to obtain items.
You are wrong ^^, you dont need plat to be good at this game.
