Re: What existing areas would you like to see expanded?

Most of the old areas need to be expanded.
Lirs Reach has the dock and someone else posted earlier that there should be a boat that comes, and i agree with that. But isnt that just kinda boring? How about this, every once in a while there should be a boat that comes the when that happens there would be a parade kinda where sailors are walking along the path to the castle with cargo and u could be on the sidelines waiting for them to throw stuff. The stuff the sailors could throw could be things from gold to plat to items and even rare fashion items (like capes!, or even costumes) or even lux which would be extremely rare. And before u all start saying what happens if a lvl1 gets a 150 req lux item. Well guess what if your lvl150 or higher u would be able to get any lux item, if your lvl100-149 u will get all lux items except for 150 req lux, if your lvl50-99 u would get the lvl50 req lux or the castle lux that has no lvl req, and if your lvl1-49 u will only get the castle lux which has no lvl req.

Then theres catas, crook, stone, and shale which could use some new mobs and bigger area especially in stone.

In the arena, which needs tons of new crap, (my ideas will be things that have already been said) there really needs to be competitions like how many waves u can last with out dying and the mobs u kill will be according to your lvl. Then theres the thing with high lvls bullying lower lvls. There needs to be lvl restrictions! For example a lvl180 can only attack people who are within a 10lvl range if that person is a lower lvl if there higher than them theres no restriction to the lvl they can attack. So say theres a lvl80, they can attack anyone whos lvl70+ in arena. So what if a lvl80 attacks a lvl130 the lvl130 cant fight back? NO! If someone who is more than 10lvls below u attacks your allowed to kill them. There that fixes the bullying problem!

I dont think we need more or bigger areas. We need more content for all levels.

Daily quests where reward is actually worth completing the quest.

Many more one time quests for the various levels.

Much more frequent boss spawns. No boss should spawn less than every 15 minutes. Loot tables would need to be modified but waiting for days to do a boss is stupid.

    Remove BoE
Make new endgame content providing similar rewards but without the need for dominant clans
    Add horizontal content

i think we need several areas that are class specific. like:
-an area of mobs that have lots of health but very low dmg, high magic/fire/ice resistence (ROGUE/RANGER)
-low health but lots of dmg, high magic/fire/ice resistance (WARRIOR)
-lots of health, low dmg, low magic/fire/ice resistence (MAGE/DRUIDS)

specialized for each class, so its possible to solo lvl. agreed? :D
but what happens wen rogues goto druid/mages place is it just easy kills

Maybe a quest that opens up the area? Like you can't go to a rogue shop on a mage, and a warrior cant go to a ranger shop.
World- Sulis
FrostKnight- LVL 222 Ranger
FrostDagger- LVL 198 Rogue
Sancus- LVL 197 Mage

I want to see more areas like shale or expand old ones to add more quests

Shale is by far the most advanced and best area in the game, im sure many would agree that shale is the best and most interesting place to enjoy and level. I dont understand why OTM have stopped with the quests, i was looking forward to killing Queen Medb as a noob but then realised at my own disappointment she wasnt even in game

OTM quit with the levels of the new areas, make them like Shalemont Ravine the most successful area by far!!! For players grinding is no fun, but grinding for a small purpose is far more enjoyable that nothing. Shalemont was an excellent example of that, you could farm skirmishes and wait for a sashman to spawn then kill them for 9 sashes. Its still grinding but with a purpose and interesting with an interesting story line to top it off.

Im not surprised why so many new players quit around the lvl 55-60 mark, Shalemont ends  and the players realise from now on there are no quests just endless grinding and money spending.

Why strive for perfection when it has been done already? Just look at shale...

I like Solarus's ideas
+1 Catacombs (I would make a door somewhere here that connects near Shiver)
This makes perfect sense from a storyline standpoint which would explain how ghosts got into the sewers. and since they are both underground it makes sense to connect them.
+1 Stonevale (Faerie pit and Boar pit are extremely small. The faerie pit should be expanded so that Bladequeen can be relocated. Bladequeens current location can be turned into an expanded farm or for new mobs. Boar pit seems far to small for both boar bosses. IMO Boar pit, Faerie pit, and Druid pit, should all be the size of the main wisp/horse area.)
Originally I was thinking about more roads branching off to new areas, but you bring up a great point that these areas are small and seem crowded. There are many opportunities here to make these areas better.
I would also like to see Lir's reach expanded more. While the map may appear full, it is still a relatively small map as well compared to new areas. I'm not sure how you can add onto it, other than add more land. I think it would be nice to have it quadrupled in size and have additional small villages, if for nothing more than to help add additional quests. If you wanted to get really creative, you could go vertical instead of horizontal, meaning place a mountain on an expanded map.
I'm lukewarm on expanding lirs, however if it was done I think that these are good ideas. Other MMORPGs have large villages in other areas. CH only has the castle, highshore, and the farm. All the others are like small base camps instead of villages.

I also like the option of going vertical too. A mountain would be a great idea. I'm not sure that Lirs would be the best place for it, but I like it where ever it would be used.
I would also like to see Farcrag Castle expanded. It would be nice if there were varying levels to the castle (not necessarily different zones, but areas where steps are involved). You could have steps where Lord MacLir stands entering into the inner chambers of the castle. If you did create new small zones, I think it would be awesome to create zones for each shop inside the buildings, much like the Tavern.
I don't necessarily think that the castle needs to be made larger, but I do agree that it would be cool to go inside the various buildings in the castle. it would give the place a more authentic feel if each shopkeeper had a shop. The other thing that has bothered me is that the king is just standing there in front of a gate. not very impressive. open up that gate behind him and give the guy a throne room!
The Arena could also use a size boost. I always pictured having a second Arena with waves of mobs, instead of a PvP zone.
Multiple areans would be nice, with a different focus for each one. PVP area with mobs would be cool. Not only are we fighting mobs but we are fighting each other.
Crookback Hollow is a decent size right now, but it pales in size compared to the new areas. Right now you have one entrance into the sewers. I think it would be cool to expand crookback hollow so it is large enough to have two entrances into the sewers.
This area is small compared to the other areas. It's a lot like the catacombs. It was made in the beginnings of the game, and should probaly be updated. I'm not sure how much larger it should be made, because nothing seems very crowded in there. If I did anything I would put varying levels of mobs in here, or a large boss like hrungir is in the sewers.
Shalemont and the Tavern are good sizes IMO.
Agreed. Tavern seems perfect, but need to expand how it is actually used. Right now there is not much reason to go there besides the cook quests. I like how shale is set up at the moment too. There's not much reason to change it.
