The only time my clan rolls for drops is when we kill 125 or 175 drag an we roll for the rings from 175 and all drops from 125. We collect the braces and helms and dish out according to lvl, activity, and activity on bosses. For DL bosses we collect drops and hand them out the same way.

Gambled my way from 100 gold to 100k and bought gear does that count as an addiction?

its not really ''gambling''...,
if you loose all your stuff, its not all over', you can easily get more money, you still have a healthy life. as it is in the rules, gambling is only bad if your using real life items. because your actually risking something, pixels dont count, imagine if a solar flare happened? exactly pixels have no relation to real life and can be taken from you surprisingly fast whithout warning.
plus most people who gamble learn the true worth of gold, and when they loose it all they will learn their lesson?
and if they didnt, it happens again

i dont care that people dice? ive diced before on a one-off basis and it was fun, however i dont do it all the time, and i dont think it should be banned. lets not let computer gamblers ruin our gaming experience, if its irritating then just simply block them or move on.

Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with the gambling as long as it's strictly in game items/currency. It's completely optional and it's an interesting way to interact with other players and promote this whole "community" thing. Of course, I'm against scamming, but I don't think anything should be put in place to limit trades or anything like that. Asking around for prices on things and haggling is another neat way to interact with players. If you blindly trade something without looking into how much it's worth, then that's your choice.

Maybe the could just implement a computer dicing host, an npc just like a regular person where you would put in your bet and if they roll over 60 you win double, otherwise you lose. To counter the possible heavy flow of gold into the game there needs to be money sinks like the dealer keeping 10% of the pot or every once in a while the dealer runs out of gold and a 48 hours timer starts and when it ends he has enough gold to gamble again, or users could 'donate' money in order to get the dealer gold to start gambling again before the 48 hours cause.. Who wants to wait that long... And if you just made groups able to hold a bunch of people and you could select 7 people to show up in the HUD and class related items dropped to the appropriate class that way you could remove dice and be rid of scamming and player run gambling. Just an idea...

I believe if the boss drops something and you don't need and there are more then 1 people who need that drop they should roll for it. And dicing is fun but you have to dice with some one you trust like in Danu i dice only with noodle and thats what i think.

This post was not meant to talk about the rolling on drops but on the effect its having on people who gamble at farcrag all day and lose money. Gambling should stay in casinos.

I like dicing i made about 40k with dicing

I have seen some people make 400k+ on my server just from dicing and gambling.

Are you kidding? I made 300k in 1 hour on dicing. In a period of a month i made over 800k.
