I agree , I do not think chests are nerfed by otm . I think it's easy to complain when you don't get what you want , the complete randomness of the chests is annoying though lol

Perhaps they don't nerf the chests after the first day. But they still dilute them with more items every event, which is indirectly a nerf since it reduces the chances of the good items dropping.

Maybe people want more items from chests. I personally don't care but I believe OTM takes notes whenever a majority of players comments on one topic. I am sure many people want something different each event.

Also with the addition of better things, comes more rarity for those things, so dilution is necessary in this case.

Also, I believe in the possibility of nerfing actual accounts luck rather than chests. Example: I knew someone who had lots of trouble with support and he had the absolute worst luck opening chests on that character. And when he switched the chests onto his alt, much better luck.

That just doesnt make any sense. Diluting the prize pool to make items more rare is certainly not to the buyers benefit. Why would players want that? Beltane chests were perfect, items were rare but not too rare and a lot of players got to enjoy the top prizes. There were only 2 fashion items as well. I reckon they saw a dip in sales after players got their black and white sunlit sets, so the solution for the next chest was to put all colors for lanrik and a bunch of wigs and the sparklinf and non-sparkling variations. Then go overboard with 5 tiers of musical instruments and fashion charms, on the Samhain chest and further dilute the pool with 1k bags of gold and alt/rebirth books on thr latest chests. When will it end? By next year, event chests will probably contain 1,000 possible prizes. Lol. Good luck trying to get the stuff you want.

The best part is no matter what people will still buy them and that's what matters. You're not supposed to get what you want so easily that's why it's a mystery chest.

I don't know why you think that's the best part. You are correct though, people still buy them. That's why OTM can do whatever they want.
