Re: Guide to Writing an In-Game Support Ticket
#11Most important in writing support ticket is to be polite. Use words like Please, thank you, appreciate. If you rage in your support ticket using words like ***, stupid, etc, you will be ignored.
Very good! I thought I had added that in but apparently not. Most important in writing support ticket is to be polite. Use words like Please, thank you, appreciate. If you rage in your support ticket using words like ****, stupid, etc, you will be ignored.
Maybe so, but since when do they ban anyone off a support ticket? Its simply a waste of time because they never ban anyone for that reason.Another thing to add the support button IS used to report players. Many of the admin staff have said something along the lines of "Please do not name and shame on the forums, instead use the in game support tool to report the player"
Im sure you can find it said somewhere.
I'm pretty sure there are temp bans/reprimands dealt out in some cases. Less for scamming and more for improper character names, abuse/harassment of other players using racist or bigoted language, or botting. And it is BS this is unfair as OTM dosent have the 'other side' of the story. They have logs which can be reviewed and reveal all conversations, trades, even basic movement. This is what they use when considering action.Maybe so, but since when do they ban anyone off a support ticket? It depends what's on the ticket and how many players report it. I'm pretty darn sure that occasionally players do get Banned or warned over TOS violations. Note this isn't ksin a gladiator or messing with people lixing. It's stuff like continued racist comments or names of toons that are highly inappropriate (not just a little lol). Also its hard to tell with the delay from reporting to action but I'm pretty sure I've seen a temp ban for botting.Maybe so, but do they take the time to review all of these off of one support ticket?I'm pretty sure there are temp bans/reprimands dealt out in some cases.
