I think when you do starter quest in the skull crusher backstory it says they are great sailors who have been thru the sea of blades and landed here. Or Torbin. He talks of the Endless Ocean?

I thought the next area was Gelebrons Tower, but tbh a sea like level with ocean around you would be the bombb
