This would be the best solution. Talent trees would allow the class to really max out skills without making a class OP. it works for other games. I don't see this suggestion happening, or the nature attunement one either though. The question is a bit more complex than a yes or no answer.
Although I doubt we will see this, skill paths would be a better way to go. Mages have fire and ice attunements that add damage to a couple skills. If they were done as a passive skill path, points wouldn't need to be invested in them (some kind of book if a player opts to go a different way in the future). The druid version could be dps, recovery or support. Dps adding damage to, say, vines and lightning and recovery could add heals to touch and breath or embrace. Support could add to bark and wards (preferably merged).
Done with other classes, it would be useful as well.
Even if wards were merged, druids have so many skills and roles that they can take where points can already be spread too thin or in a very limited fashion. Having it as a skill would just take away from one more thing that we could be doing.
Re: Should there be a Nature Magic Attunement skill?
#12I could agree with that. Give druids magic lure and then give rangers pierce lure. Would give rangers and druids the boost in the right direction.

Re: Should there be a Nature Magic Attunement skill?
#13Attunement is a nightmare for mages... Besides, OTM logic would mean your nature skills will be nerfed before you are given nature's attunement to bring you back to where you started. I am not saying changes can not be made, but attunement is not the way to go.
Re: Should there be a Nature Magic Attunement skill?
#14I'd like somethig similar to attunement, but one that increases dps skills and greatly decreases healing ability. Then druids wouldn't be op with good damage and heal abililty... Kind of like how frenzy nerfs pro stance

Re: Should there be a Nature Magic Attunement skill?
#15If this was the case, we would need a skill that increases our heal and 1 skill that increases our dps (frenzy vs pro stance ) and we could use one or the other depending on situation. Frenzy doesn't decrease their natural armor stat.I'd like somethig similar to attunement, but one that increases dps skills and greatly decreases healing ability. #16I am liking this idea. This gives druids a DPS option. If this was the case, we would need a skill that increases our heal and 1 skill that increases our dps (frenzy vs pro stance ) and we could use one or the other depending on situation. I was leveling with a mage, level 200, I am a druid level 208.
My Focus is 1,100 points, I have Lightning max and have +bonus damage for Lightning.
I was landing hits with lightning between 900 and 1,500 on level 210 mobs.
The mage EIGHT levels below me was doing Fire Bolts at 3,500-4,500
That is a BIG gap!

Re: Should there be a Nature Magic Attunement skill?
#17I disagree... Our heal ability is fine how it is... I heal 3020 or something with a dark Hrung skull... My heals are decent. My DPS is what sucks. If this was the case, we would need a skill that increases our heal and 1 skill that increases our dps (frenzy vs pro stance ) and we could use one or the other depending on situation. I think frenzy used to decrease Armour, but has been changed... But that's another thread i suppose

#18Huh? Look at the quote within quote as that is what I was responding too. I never said anything was wrong with a druid healing ability.I disagree... Our heal ability is fine how it is... It's curious why people people respond to a response to an original post that would be more appropriate responding to rather than the response.
Frenzy never decreased an armor stat. You can either use frenzy or pro stance. That's the way it's been for a long time.

To clarify, im saying I don't think there is value in adding a healing 'attunement' if they looked at a DPS attunemtne whatever for druid... Leave healing as it is... If people want to damage let them use their 'attunement' then be unable to heal for the three minutes it's active...
That make sense?
