Re: Hrungnir camping - how does it happen in your world?

Read the original post Aeslyn, there is no criticism. Aileron is only asking how other servers camp Hrung.

We are used to camping with just one checker. Today however many members from another clan decided to camp in numbers so we did too, just to match them. It just seems silly for 8 people (16 if you include both clans) to camp a boss which has such a long window. I'm curious too how other servers do it too.

There really isn't an issue of account sharing for camping in either clan. Most of us have a camp device sitting on our desks at work or propped up somewhere at home and use our other devices and toons for EDLs and such.

but it was 10/6 around lunchtime
your point? It was 3/14 after that and havoc was going in and out, as did we.

Doesn't matter though, fact is, we would never raid camp a boss unless the whole havoc clan is waiting there to jump on a boss as soon as it spawns. We usually camp with one person until Havoc brings all hands on deck.

Remember the time when Havoc took on Mordris, 1 High Priestess, 4 Deepfire Sentinels, about 4 trolls and 6 wyrms just to get a headstart? That was brilliant. ;)
That's essentially what's done on Arawn, putting aside the cute little names smellyunder likes to throw around, (crazyfive lol that's creative) one clan member camps the boss and alerts the rest when it is up, that way, we can focus on other bosses while not completely being oblivious as to when Hrung has spawned, it makes the most sense and has proven to work quite well. I think it's kind of silly to have an entire group camp out a boss, haha, thanks for the picture.

This whole thread is funny, dominant clan players fighting with underdog clan players over who "cares more" about camping Hrung.

It's pretty clear from this thread, how biased you can become from server competition. I can't speak for Morrigan, but I can say that on Arawn the so-called "crazy 5" outlock the dominant clan on Hrung more often than you would expect because:
1) The "crazy 5" generally dedicate more time to camping/checking Hrung, as they often cannot access higher bosses (not enough numbers)
2) The "crazy 5" generally have more mains+alts within level range for ideal target lock, whereas a lot of the mains in the dominant clan are outside that level range, and must use locking alts (not all their mains have locking alts)

If you ask Smelly or any member of the dominant clan, they will tell you that the "crazy 5" outlock on Hrung because they have no lives, etc. This should tell you how frustrated the dominant clan is, that they still sometimes lose lock on Hrung despite having over 10x the number of active mains.

I give a lot of respect to the "crazy 5" because they can and do lock Hrung despite being so outnumbered, outleveled and outgeared. It's definitely a feat worthy of respect.

But since Smelly is competing against the "crazy 5," he will not give them respect. Smelly only gives respect to fellow clannies, or people on other worlds (since they aren't competing against him or his clan for drops).

If TerminNater were on the world of Arawn, and part of the "crazy 5" underdog clan, you would never see these words from Smelly:
Lol good to see the real McCoy here. No one can beat u in levelling and certainly not me. This post just for fun. Hope to see u getting to 240 first which I am sure u will.
Instead it would be something along the lines of:
Term has no life, all he does is level

A question to those worlds with competition - how do clans camp Hrungnir?

In Avalon, we usually just have one camper who watches the spawn and then we have a messaging app that tells everybody when Hrungnir is up, and the rest login to help kill.

But our competing clan, Havoc, brings in a full group, even two, and they all just stand there bunched up together, waiting up to 48 hours.

Just curious really, are the any other clans in other worlds like this?
So do they always outlock your clan? If they are camping and huddling there 24/7, I am sure they are sharing account like what the crazy 5 on Arawn do. How can it be possible for so many to be camping 24/7 for 48 hours at a stretch without sharing account? Otm needs to wake up and monitor such activities if it is serious about account sharing. But I think Otm doesn't care unless they receive many complains and other players provide evidence like ss.
Regarding the account sharing. Might I mention the stone which should not be thrown in a house with walls made out of glass?
The socalled 'crazy' ones invited OTM to check on them, when the ones throwing the stones did not.

The ones throwing the stones know what I speak of.

On topic: My hrung camp consist of having a laugh at people spending hours and hours of their life camping it...

Swan my dear once again your clear to the point , and like someone said Articulate posts , baffle me. Hope you have great success in real life cause you have an admirable mind.

And back to the post. The stench of spite is pathetic from the opponents replies. When someone isn't over leveling his toon or his first aid abilities his cocky self is all over forums. Your enemies have no life? Say what?
