What's the point of a petition board when the "silent majority" don't vote and they're the ones whose game play must be preserved.

If OTM commits and acknowledges they're actually going to listen to petitions, then that's a whole different story. But as it is right now? Meh.
Runescape has an option to vote on things ingame, I think OTM should do this where they have a link in the load up menu directing the 'silent majority' to current trending polls where they can vote, maybe if they had a link between toon ingame and forum account then it wouldn't deter people from joining forums as they don't wish to go through the sometimes rigorous sign up process
In future updates we are hoping to have a stronger link between forums and in-game.

News, links to forum, Facebook / Twitter back again.

For the moment best option is just to tell in-game "Get on the forum", more the merrier.

So is OTM actually going to listen to Petitions? From experience, they really haven't, and even if they did some of them (like Removing BoE - on some items) a petition from 2012 that got done in 2015. Not exactly very optimistic for petitioners.

We try to implement player feedback where we can, it may not be all of it but we try to accommodate.

Hopefully when the petitions forum is complete we will see more players using it and implementations of said feedback.

In game there are gods like Belenus an Lugh, but the real gods of the game are the admins and developers. posting a petition or feedback is like saying a prayer. The gods hear them all, but they don't always say yes ;)

I think he means the time it takes u to get some of the suggestions in the game also, we can see that u put suggestions in the game but there always years later. Does it take years for the designers to get round to reading 1 suggestion from when it's written? Or is it more like we'll add it to the longgg list of we want to do first?

We listen to player feedback and try to implement when we can but we do have a schedule of content we are working on.

I can understand player frustration when X, Y or Z of feedback is not implemented but they are very busy working on content you will soon see in the game.

That actually seems fair enough to me, if u have a schedule to keep then u have a schedule to keep, I guess every company has targets they need to reach.
It depends. When something critical is broken, I think they should fix it. But because it benefits them, they put it as a low priority.
One such example is the Proteus Prime encounter - lots of plat items used for very little or no reward. It's definitely broken but they won't change it because it puts money in the OTM bank.

I wouldn't call the content "broken". Broken is a term you would use for glitches/bugs in the game, for example; proteus prime will bug out and drop 1 item instead of the original amount of items it's supposed to drop. A better word for not getting the drop you want is...... Bad....... Luck. I'm probably gonna get blasted for saying this
