But as I mentioned before, these anniversary events should be a way for OTM to celebrate and reward players for their loyalty, rather than using it as an opportunity to drive up plat sales and plat item usage, I think giveaways are more appropriate.

Give us a Special Offer of a Free 10-Lix bundle of our choice, or give us another 5-Heroic Combos for free like before. I'm sure everyone will appreciate it more, regardless of clan, level, or class.
I agree, we had the Special Offers tab added before and it was used every once in a while. The only thing I've seen it used for recently was to alert people about Double Plat.

And yes, the Double Plat and Bossing is costly. I'm glad that OTM had those because they really do benefit the players greatly, BUT being a non-plat buyer I also would like some things to enjoy for free. Double XP and Boss Spawns were nice because I get the plat Items I need from other players. I would totally have bought plat during Double Plat if I could afford it. But just because I couldn't enjoy the Double Plat sale or be there for every boss during the Boss Spawn Event it doesn't mean I'm upset they did that. They made alot of Players very happy with those Events, and just because I wasn't as happy as others doesn't mean I need to bring the whole thing down.

I can say "Hey OTM, I didn't get to experience these Events as much as the next guy, could you work on it next time around?" Instead of "This event is stupid. OTM you're so stupid. Stupid." Like some people have done.

We still have 2 more Events to go, and I feel that OTM will be saving the best for last.

All of these events can be seen as something good or bad. Double plat was awesome. It's awesome for everyone if the plat buyers sell the plat items to others. If they don't, then it only benefits us plat buyers. Then the non plat buyers will say this event sucked. It didn't offer me anything.

Bounties - great I guess if you rely of bounties to level.

Faster boss respawn - awesome if you get good drops. Not awesome if you end up banking all the items.

I think I know what your issue is everything, I may have the answer.

You have a great attitude towards life, appreciate what you have, not what you don't. appreciate anything you're given, not what you weren't which provides happiness and not disappointment because you've set the bar low.

Having a low expectation can save a lot of disappointment but there's one thing you need to realise.. Not everyone thinks the same as you, acts the same as you or reacts the same as you and you can't give them your attitude(it is a blessing you can't pass on sadly) but calling people ungrateful is an action that will provoke them, you could try suggesting a different way to look at it, that would be a nice thing to do but more often then not you will not shift their views.

Try to have the serenity to accept things you cannot change.

I'm sorry but these posts are becoming more irritating then they need to be, maybe every couple of months some people go overboard and need to be pulled into line but in fact I find this post worse then the complaints you're posting this for. teach your children your attitude it's a gift, but a public forum with all different ranges of people are to far gone. Personally I think with the amount of money people pay OTM that does in fact make them entitled to complain about things that could have been better or need to be changed. Just my opinion anyone is allowed to disagree

Dem0n, once again you're right.

I tend to go to the extreme other direction of some opinions because that's how I feel..Sigh, time for another couple weeks of sitting back and cooling down. I get too far ahead of myself sometimes, and you're right it is getting pretty bad.

Can't take back the things I've done but I can improve in the future. Sorry to everyone for getting so worked up about these things, gotta work on that aspect as well. Sometimes I do need to be told what I'm doing is going too far. I admit, I've done too much (again) apologies to all.

There are those that are pleased. There are those that are indifferent. And there are those who are ungrateful.

You can't say that OTM could have done "better". This entire Anniversary Event was not something anyone knew about beforehand- it was a NICE thing OTM decided to do for us players. This hasn't ever happened before, and all it's done has benefitted players.

Double Plat- You pay HALF as much as usual to buy Platinum. This helps players AND OTM.

Increased Raid Spawns- Players can boss more than usual.

Double Bounty XP- DOUBLE of what we had before- for the SAME cost.


YES, OTM is a company and these Events DO help them financially. But are you seriously going to cry about having Platinum be half price? Are you actually UPSET that Bounties provide TWICE the XP? If you have common sense you wouldn't complain about having more.

If you don't like the raise your boss gave you then you have to approach him reasonably. If you come barging into his office demanding you get more you'd be lucky not to get fired. OTM isn't our boss, but if we give them critiques in a reasonable way and not just "This whole event is stupid" they'll be more inclined to listen to us. They're people just like anyone else.


These people who have been complaining cry about how "bad" these Events are, and then go back to the game and do them anyway. Nevermind the fact that the Bounty you just did provided double the bloody XP, OTM should have done "more", should have done "better".

Is this what the community has become? Are we THIS unappreciative of anything OTM gives us?

Just because OTM has not always given players what we desire doesn't mean everyone needs to jump on the bandwagon and hate on everything they do.

Looking at this Anniversary Event as a whole you can say OTM could have given us other things (Double XP, Double Gold, etc.) and continue to be bitter and upset with them for not doing more. OR you can look at it and think "Gee, they're really trying hard to make us happy, I'm glad." And enjoy the Event for what it is-

A thank you to players for sticking with them this past 5 years and a small reward for our time spent.


Take a step back and look at everything that's been done. Try to appreciate it for what it is, and drop the entitlement attitude.
Stop writing these bs posts about how we need to appreciate otm more. We are entitled to our own opinions kid. I get it, you like kissing butts, but please do it through pms instead. Incredibly annoying to see posts like this so often. Guess you like to settle for mediocrity? Most of us don't

I can proudly say that I am an endgame player which has not spent a penny on the game. I enjoy, and still enjoy the game. But I complain too, because I believe OTM should have better listened to what we want and what not. For example the pets, they are literally only for plat buyers and the new starters area. It sure looks great but did anyone really wanted this? I think most people agree that OTM should have spent their effort in something else. Like class balancing or added the auction house instead, rather than adding this (sorry forgot the name).

As I said I don't spend any money on the game, I need the platinum buyers to sell me their platinum items, I depend on them. But what I have seen lately happening was that it was getting more and more difficult for me to get the same items. While I could easily get them, for a lower price as well, 1/1,5 years ago. How? Because things changed, they did not listen, so people stopped spending, or limited it. As well as he Gelebrons tower update disabled many people from playing.

But how grateful am I for this double platinum or decreased boss spawn time? Very grateful. But double bounty xp? Not really, I mean cool but it's not rlly that great you know. I think they could have spent their time on something else, something new something better. This isn't only about the double bounty xp. So OTM please listen to what we want, instead of adding things which you know they won't turn out great.

If anyone thinks people won't come on a mmo game forum and complain about any change, good or bad - you must be new here and born yesterday. This is the Internet people!

That said OTM needs to keep people happy, whales (big spenders) and casuals alike, or we won't have servers to play on. TBH game developer is one of the crappiest jobs, with typically meager profits and salaries, high work loads, and a never ending pile of "customers" who dump all over you. Hats off to OTM who actually have kept this up 5 years.
