Re: Account Shared Banning!

The main reason is trading accounts for real money. This is a violation of apples developer policy and can result in a ban of OTM from Apple/iTunes and a remote wipe of all games off all idevices, without user consent. OTM needs to at least look like they crack down on it.
Was hoping someone would post this. Banning -s-h-a-r-e-d-/traded accounts is an Apple thing, not an OTM thing.

EDIT: Apple only prevents the exchange of ingame items for real world currency in means other than through iAPs.. So while banning trading accounts is an Apple thing, banning sharing is an OTM thing.

I can't imagine being in a clan where I don't trust them with my items. Why tf you there then?

If you're scared of being scammed by your own clan mates, either you're too paranoid in a damn game, or you should just leave.
Not every clan has strict or organized recruiting policies. Many clans recruit merely because of levels, reputation be damned.

Or how about I dropped a bunch of money on Plat to get my items. I might game with people for years, it doesn't mean you truly know them anymore than people you talked to in a chat room on yahoo. Would you just send over money to hotdude24 in a chat room if you had chatted with them everyday?

I had a very good friend I worked with 6 days a week and played poker with twice a week and played D&D with twice a week for years. He had never done a violent thing in his life. One day he gets into an argument with a friend at his house, goes and gets his gun, and shoots his friend and wife. To this day they have never recovered the bodies. It just goes to show you can never truly know somebody.

Why do differences of opinion always have to lead to disrespect. Calling me too damned paranoid and should just quit the game is uncalled for. One of the problems with online interactions vs in person interactions is people can 'spit in your face' without any consequences.

Dont confuse the two. Selling intellectual/digital property is prohibited by Apple and also by OTM. But banning an account simply because its been shared is an OTM policy, because their support team dont want to deal with ticket requests regarding stolen items.

tl;dr bud. Defend it as much as you want, but I'm glad I don't have you in my clan with your over-protective mindset of the gear you worked with your clan to get. Someday you'll get in a decent clan and feel safe there, I wish you the best.

3 paragraphs isn't long. And you want to disrespect me in your post to me but don't want to read my reply. If you had, you would have seen I was talking about plat and lux items not raid drops. Those are Clan property and if I'm not on using them, someone else that can use them at the time is free to use them.

I guess you feel it's OK to be a jerk and want others to listen to your opinion while you disrespect and dismiss others

Armo has a point. If you don't have a certain level of trust for your clannies, you or them shouldn't be in the same clan.

No clan is perfect and even us had bad experiences with a couple members who for some reason, stole items, but for the most part , we lend each other gear a lot, we sell lixes and fashion, etc. using the mailbox. If you can't even sell items to your clannies via the mailbox for fear of it being stolen, then something is very wrong.

That's funny coz he's been the chieftain of servers best/longest running clan for years. He loans out more gear among clannies than most. If you didn't try to be a smartass(and a bad one at that) and understood what he meant, which is u never really know someone unless you know them irl, even then, it's people u wudve reacted differently. You can loan ur void skull or whatever to ur clannie u raid with everyday, I do too, but doesn't mean I know that person like I know my irl closest friends . There's an element of risk to every trade u do in this game, be it your cheif, best in game friend or even ur ingame girlfriend . Ever heard of ppl getting scammed by some very trustworthy clannies in other servers? Yeah me too.

Somewhere the thread diverged into loaning raid gear vs loaning lux. Will I loan out my touch hrung helm or proteus brace? Sure. Will I loan out my 2 mil yellow wings? Absolutely not. Will I loan out my touch skull? Yes. Will I loan out my ardamir woads? Absolutely not.

I don't mind selling things through mailbox. Although several years ago I loaned out a lux ammy and the player was supposed to return it to me. They said they mailed it and I never got it. They were wearing the same ammy the next day. This was a person in my Clan that I had lixed with daily and talked to out of game everyday. So my first experience with loaning something was me getting screwed over.

So basically I will loan small things but nothing I'll be upset over if I don't get it back when it comes to lux and fashion.
