I dont understand. In december did morrigan just grow exponentially enough for the server to crap itself from login spam? I know havoc returned from whatever server but that was before December wasnt it.

They should shut down Morrigam for two weeks until they get to the bottom of this, once and for all.
4 months of this craap is a crime.

I feel like something like this should be hard to not know whats causing it. Its consistently happening at raid spawns so why not give the bigger populated severs who are experiencing this. Better bigger stronger servers.

I kinda laugh at the "bigger populated servers". Between Havoc and Avalon, there is probably in the vicinity of 50 devices logging in for Mordris. Fifty. 50. cincuenta.

If that is considered large, then CH servers must be running on a 80386.

I am actually trying to sign into Morrigan currently, at 1:15AM.

The server itself does not appear to be down (still displays in my world list) but it does seem to be affected by the same issue we were observing previously.

I've logged the time for the Programming Team and will discuss it further when we are back in the office.

It is true the server is still up. Most likely all monitoring that otm has set up for its servers is not alarming or showing anything is at fault. That being said...

Nobody has been able to login to Morrigan for over an hour. It is behaving exactly like a DDOS attack. Server is up, but no one can contact it. The login daemon / service needs to be investigated. When this occurs it is the result of two clans trying to login when a boss pops, in this case Mordris. So at most 100 people are trying to login at same time from the two clans, plus the regular traffic on Morrigan. This isn't a large amount of people by internet standards.

So, trying to be as diplomatic as possible with what I say next. This behaviour on the server should be setting off alarms when it occurs. Because what if a malicious entity decided to replicate this across all servers? Is it possible with only 100 spam logins on each server the entire game could be DDOSed to oblivion?

Hopefully otm can have a look at things and get to a resolution of the issue before someone really decides to target them.

We've all been here and we are still working on the issue.

It appears to have resolved itself as ***Morrigan is the highest populated world on the server list.***

We are working on a fix.

I just meant between the 2 endgame clans, theres no way there are hundreds or thousands of players logging in server.
In Mordris raids, we average about 50 total, so if thats their category of "large" then their network/server capacity is pretty poor.
