I think the OP is on Android. If so, then there are lock battles on just about everything. On Fingal it's not abnormal to have 30+ toons lock battling on falgreen and up till edl.
Kind of off topic, but if android is so much more popular than iOS, why does android have so few servers? Am I mistaken?
It's not that it's more popular it's we have less servers so we tend to have more populated servers
We're there always 4 servers for android? How many downloads does iOS have?

It's not that it's more popular it's we have less servers so we tend to have more populated servers
We're there always 4 servers for android? How many downloads does iOS have?
Used to be 2 I believe. I don't know about downloads. You'd have to go look it up

The Zerg game style of Celtic Heroes is the product of Target Lock + 100% player reliance on pots, lixes and idols. So besides raid bosses like Necro and Gelebron, you don't really need a tank. Everything else can be zerged.

During the golden days of CH, circa 2011, players didn't really use pots and idols. When players die, they resurrect and run back from the closest leystone. They used druid heals and bandage wounds during battles.
So tanks (and druids) are pretty much needed. A group of 5 (originally) rogues would simply wipe to a boss like Falgren so balanced groups were a necessity.

Today, it's just do as much damage as you can, as fast as you can, so basically a group of 8 rogues is the ideal group composition. It's quite sad really that CH has deteriorated to this kind of game. When old time players reminiscence about how awesome CH was 5-6 years ago, it's because it was.

We got target lock because assholes thought it was a good idea to ks lower levels (I do not miss those times). The current target lock system is outdated and needs to be changed but we will most likely never see the old system again.

They should probably rename the game to Rogues Heroes.
Everyday when i login and see the number of our clan rogues online, i can already know what to expect on lock battles.

The lock system completely devalues tanking and healing, thus 2 of the 5 classes. Other 2 classes are trying to catch up with rogues.

They could:
-include in lock damage survived by tanks and heal supported by druids
-or make bosses harder.

Bosses are already insanely hard. As someone mentioned before, if you are on level for a boss, you need a stellar team of near full party to even have a chance of surviving.

The last thing we want is for players to be able to buy a boss kill which is why we added things like death penalty, idol and potion timers etc to stop this as much as possible without disrupting the convenience of plat items in normal play.
Clearly the restrictions on plat items are too lax when players are essentially buying bosses. They are not just for convenience anymore.

All classes are included in the locking calculation. But they're not going to redo things for people that want to go tank mode at swamp caller level.
