But my main issue with the whole aeon and legacy thing is that during the events it said that stuff would only be obtainable then and then only.

A lot of people(myself included) did invest a lot into old stuff, because we were basically certain it wouldn't come back because of that. The only difference is that I was smart enough to divide my investment into several things, so while some tanked, I still made out in the end.
