Furthermore, not only are items better then gold, but I have something to point out here too.

The world only has so much gold(I crippled the economy by holding 116m at once before). People start to save, as they notice that gold becomes very hard to obtain. Which in turns mean it is harder for you to make more gold. Sure, you may have all of this stuff, but what is it really worth if no one wants to buy it/can afford it? This is how I played it smart, I didn't just side with rich people. I make sure I have something for every market, or if I don't that I have contacts to find what they need. In fact, I make more gold by selling low end stuff then high end.

TLDL: Even if you are megarich, you still need to be a good merchant to convert said items into gold(at a reasonable rate).

Though I'd still be interested to see a video to compare.

Because trying to be an inspiration for non-plats is being a show off.

There's also benefits to showing people what you have, such as getting more offers on the shown items, and people remembering you as a person to sell items to. More contacts are always a good thing.

Now, there is a difference between this and having an ego about it. Do I go around making fun of poor people and plat buyers? No.
