Mailbox. Bam. Send items to yourself. Say you have two accs, A and B. send items from your main, A to B via mailbox.

Would like to add, that I think it would be cool to send actual messages through the mailbox that the other player receives when they are online, not just items and with the lending idea, you should make it so that when the lending time is up, the item automatically goes straight back either to the lenders bank, or make the banker have a 'bank collection box' that your item / items that you lended out would go into

Please ensure that items required for quests are not transferable, however. Someone may fall into the trap of donating a fragment or something (I don't know why because you can't try it out) to find it was used for a quest

Mail system would be a GREAT addition to the game,

D&D Online has a post system and they attached a market system up to it. You can put up an item in the market, with your asking price. Other players browse market, see your item and buy it. They recieve the item in the post, and you receive your money in the post.

Lend would probably be used by lots of people, and would be a great way for higher ranking player to temporarily 'outfit' their clanmates/friends for tough battles. Not to mention, it would allow people to test drive gear before purchasing it in the player market which would definitely be a plus!

The Mailbox/Posting system is the best idea to come from this discussion! This would basically allow people to share their gear across all their chars (and even accounts), return borrowed items to offline players, or just give presents to people!

If posting were to be implemented, I think there should be the option to leave a written message, and also the ability to select certain pieces of gear and pay a fee to 'bind' it to a specific character, or better yet, account.

I would also really want to be able to transfere between characters, but: will the bank be server only or between servers? Because while I'd love to lvl my Druid on Belenus with great gear I can also see the problem if a whole clan decides to move servers.

A post option would be really really awesome. I sometimes lend items from a friend and then feel bad logging with those items equipped that he'll need when he logs in. So posting the items back to him would be sweet.
Lending as also an awesome idea, ESP if you can select the amount of time that you are lending the item (5 min, 1 hr, 6 hrs, 1 day, 3 days, 1 week). That way I personally would help a lot more people because I'd have a guarantee to get my items back.

the lend idea is great, the message is also needed. But I am disappointed with the bank.

There is really very little reason to use the bank with only 20 slots. Think about it. It is almost as easy to find a friend who has an idevice you can borrow as it is to bug a clannie. Used iPods are cheap. Just make another account with a first level toon and camp him near the bank. Infinite storage space at no cost. It never needs to travel so you can put lots of stuff in it with no platinum cost. For friends that want to transfer I have a toon that has no gear so I dont have to worry about getting their stuff mixed up with my stuff.

Make the bank have unlimited holding capacity.
If you want to charge platinum give them an option to open a shard account. Account owner pays 2 plat to open the account with a specific account name, then within the account he sends invitations to other toons to participate in the shared account and when the toon accepts it costs them 1 plat. So for example a clan bank would be owned by the chief and have all the necessary passwords while he can give access to all the guardians. He would also be able to remove access. It should have a log for who puts stuff in and takes stuff out so the chief can see who is contributing / draining the account.

In theory you can have many shared account you have access to. One for the clan one for all your toons etc.

One other thing. I want to be able to transfer plat between my accounts.

Papi has a fair point with the bank and people still do this. I also like Papi's suggestions.

I think the borrowing idea is a good one, but do see as Rap does the opportunity for items to be rented. Not sure that is all bad.

But back to my original idea, moving items from characters is a challenge when you have not built trust with players in your clan. And trying to transfer gold is a pain. I always loss patience and give the other character too much just so i can be done with it. If there was a shared bank account for all the players toons it would make life sooo much easier.

While were on the banker subject, also consider adding pages with tabs at the top. This way you can organize all armor on one page, pots on another, charms on another, gems on another, etc... I hate searching for items.
