As for your more options is better thought, I understand to a point what you mean. However, in association to "scripted boss killing", some of the most fun I have had was killing a boss so specifically in the manner that was intended, that if you or one of your members strayed for even a moment, the group/raid would wipe. Meticulous detail had to go into planning, same classes had to spec differently for certain roles during one fight. Harmony and precision are the two words that come to mind when thinking about some of the past battles I have experienced. Now, concerning CH... this is the direction they are going with all the recent changes. Planning is NOW necessary. Idol zerging and laystone running to kill a boss are THOUGHTLESS attempts at bossing. If anything OTM has infused thought into the process of bossing, requiring a tad bit more skill on everyone's part. Does this mean you lose some "freedom"? That all depends on your definition of freedom. Freedom from your perspective sounds like every class should be able to tank, DPS, heal, or debuff themselves through any and every situation depending on how they stat/skill. If you want that style of game then this as well as ALL other MMOs are not for you. Classes are created for a reason. You want to Dex tank a rogue and require my HW to do it. Ehh, I would prefer you to DPS and we get a real tank. If you want to play tank you should have rolled a Warrior. Not because that is the corner OTM has painted us in, but because that is the corner games like this ought to be in. To much freedom usually gives people just enough rope to hang themselves. Restriction creates a kind of freedom that truly makes you feel free when you abide by the rules and come out successful. My experience anyway...
