Heck why not? This present/stone gathering thing has been overly done in the last what - 4 or 5 events? It's always in the same places. We travel Carrowmore Tunnels every day when we go for bosses or when we do xp groups. At least let us pick up some presents along the way and not compete with newbies without mounts in Lir's. I just don't get it why OTM is reluctant to spread the event beyond Lir's Reach.

My guess is that it's something along these lines:
-- make it equally accessible to all levels (but, as noted here, high lvls with mounts are able to monopolize presents and it might actually make it easier for low lvls to get prezzies if they don't have to compete with my divine broom)

-- give high lvls a reason to come back to Lirs. Ok, I'll agree that I've spent more time in Lirs in the last few days, had a cpl funny convos, have answered questions like "does anyone know where deaths caress is?" and have slaughtered Cronus a few times for ppl.
But as Aileron said, having done this same exact quest 4-5 times, I'm kinda bored with the same present hunt in the same locations. I'm kinda sad to say, this is the least interested I've ever been in one of these events. if it wasnt for cake, I probably wouldnt do this at all....At least mix it up. Give me a reason to go back to shale or Catacombs (since shiver was moved there is no reason whatsoever for me to revisit that spot), or crookback. Give those low lvls a chance to further explore fingals. Let us present hunt in the places we spend time.

It amazes me with the introduction of 3 new HUGE areas that they wouldn't use the giant areas for the presents, so much wasted space in this game especially in the new areas.

I don't have a mount yet and still managed to gather the most green presents by foot, how about that?
