I get that chests are a form of gambling, and I get that vr needs to make money to survive. But when I spend money on chests to gamble I do not win real life money that I get to put back in my pocket.
That’s a choice I make to fund a game I enjoy. But if I am dropping hundreds of dollars on a gamble, knowing I won’t ever actually receive real life money in return, then I expect the odds to be more in my favor. There is no reason chest items should be so rare that the server only sees 1-3 items of the rarest items when thousands and thousands are being opened across the server. For example there are only a few purple particle oni tops on danu even tho multiple thousands of chests were opened. In reality right now the chests are so full of crap that the odds are just way out of reach with the fact they are pixels. This does not make a person want to keep buying and hoping, this makes the person pissed and boycotts ever buying in the future, and vr then loses a customer who otherwise would keep funding the game. Im not stating make everything extremely common. I’m just saying as it stands right now the odds are not worth it.

But I think they should just remove the horrid token fashion crap. Such a terrible idea. Needs to be scrapped.

Drop rates are fine IMO. I don't want rare stuff all over the place.

it varies very widely. I opened thousands of chests and lost 10s of millions of gold in doing so. I hear about some people who get 2 dragon eggs from 100 chests. Meanwhile i got 2 from several thousand chests. Some people get lucky. I was at the opposite end of the spectrum to them.

This may be mad coincidence but, I always had better luck at opening chests on lower lvl toons. I wish I recorded the difference, but I opened like 1k chests on a low lvl toon and 1k chests on Songz. Huge difference. On Songz I got a lot of fashion and tokens. Out of that 1k chests I got like 5 eggs total. 3 drag and 2 Phoenix.

With the low lvl toon I got less fashion tokens by far. I got like 9 eggs. 5 drag and 4 Phoenix. I got twice as many sigils but less tokens. I've tried this since double plat on Black Friday in 2017. Needless to say I spent like 50m after that on buying chests and opened them all on my low lvl toons. I like to switch the toons just in case they are like "Nah this guy opened X amount of chests. Screw his RNG" which I like to call the Swee Effect.

Furyion did a video, ur experience was a coincidence. I believe that when u open a chest u have the same chances of getting an egg as the last ons. Just as equally u have set amount of chance to get an egg. U could get 500 eggs in 500 chests in a row . Now that would be hilariously godly but its possible, the rates dont go down the more chests u use otherwise all u people opening 5000+ chests a year wouldnt get anything better than armour lixes.
