I was for the target lock idea when it was.first brought up, however, I have thought more about it and do not like the idea. I feel that others would still camp falgren, they would just find another way around it. I A mid level player would still be left in the dark. I am more in favor of changing the problem by making dragons and such no trade or another type of loot rewarding style fix to the issue.

I think they need to change the existing kill award system but don't think it should be with target lock as I agree with many of the other posts regarding the issues. I think the best solution still is create a new way the kill is awarded based off of damage dealt, tanking and heals. Damage dealt should only go towards 30% of the kill award,tanking should be 40% and heals should be 30%. And using pots and idols don't count toward heals, only natures touch, natures embrace, bandage wounds, light heal, group heal and recuperate. Those are only spells that count towards the heal that give credit to the kill award. But doing things this way everyone in the group will contribute towards the kill. And even if a group of rogues etc come and does the most damage does not necessarily mean they will get the kill. If the other group tanks it and gets credit for all the healing and tanking then they get the kill award. Doing things this way people have to strategize more than just doing the most damage.

If people feel tanks then would become too op because they count towards 40% of kill then it could be changed to damage dealt could be 33%, tanking 33%, and heals 33% and 1% for miscellaneous and then it would be even across the board.

Why use sharpshot? Just auto attack.
Sharpshot although not instant is still faster than auto attack.
Really? The first attack doesn't have a delay. (That's why double tapping works). But I'll take your word for it since I don't play a ranger.
However, I'm pretty sure a ranger can aggro a mob faster than a rogue or warrior who has to run. This is quite obvious during the stonevale days where everyone was trying xp in the grove and rangers just stand in the middle shooting at everything.

Absolutely if there is range to target, but if camping a boss with a predictable spawn location , and as far as I know all bosses spawn points are predictable there is nothing stopping a rogue or warrior from standing on top of the spawn point , thus eliminating the advantage of ranged attack.
But we aren't talking about sitting on a spot where, say, Chained King spawns and waiting for him. This is about who gets there first to tag a boss. When someone in the zone says, Chained King is up! (and you know people do that), there is a rush to the boss, and if a ranger and rogue are running side by side, my money is on the ranger to tag CK first.

Isnt this going back to previous system ? That was terrible because 1 tank 1 druid could ks a whole clan just because he will calm the other group tank making kill allhis party and then just calming and healing hisself?
This is all "in theory" and I doubt it will happen. I have yet to see Calm work that well for a boss to kill an appropriate level group. With idols and leystones close by, it's nearly impossible for a boss to reset. Most druids don't put points in Calm either.
