I just think that in Celtic mythology, people rode horses into attle, they didn't take pet with them.
Make the horses/mounts have bonuses.
This is a fresh mmo after all :-)[/quote]
Your statement leads me to believe that you dont know much about the Celts or their culture. Animals were at the core of most of their theology and belief systems. They had many animals that they attributed certain qualities to, such as the Bull represented a strong will, the butterfly meant transformation, Cats represented the celtic guardians of the underworld, the dog represented loyalty, dolphins where good luck, ducks and geese where honesty and good luck, Griffins represented duality, boars represented courage, there are many more but by now you get the point. In their mythology some celtic stories mentioning them are like the death of Tristan, or Fion, or Taliesin, to name a few. In Celtic everyday life they had and used pets. They where famous for their use of dogs, often placing spiked leather armours on them to take to war. They would unleash bears into enemy encampments. They hunted with falcons. They used boars to find truffels, etc..etc...etc.. Even if you want to go the "mythology" route, where in Celtic mythology do you find Crookbacks, floating eyeballs, or magic carpets? This is a fantasy game loosley based on Celtic lore and traditions. Knowing even a little about their history and culture should make people wonder why pets where not an initial part of this game since pets where essential for the Celts everyday existance.
