I never said that, I was simply saying that the event will be called the Samhain Event instead of the Halloween Event and I provided a little bit of information as to what Samhain is.

By the way Samhain Even sounds like it sucks imma just call it Haloween

Samhain is basically the origins of halloween. Samhain litterally translated means "the end of summer". The celts didnt have frankenstein or Godzilla on Samhain, but they did have wicked fairys, wraiths, strawmen, Stingy Jack, Zombies, undead and ghosts. This still wore masks and costumes and had treats. They still had jack o lanterns, although the original versions where not pumpkins, they where carved out beets. Anyway.. cant wait till it comes out.

What i got from what you said was the event is no longer based on Halloween but on autumn/fall. I no longer saw the accountability of having it released before Halloween, and I thought thats what you were loosely aiming your post towards.

Ah ok, maybe I wasn't exactly clear for which I'm sorry.

The event is still based on Halloween in that it will have Halloween related items, however we're simply calling it Samhain to keep in line with the Celtic influences in our game.

As someone posted earlier a lot of the things we have today for Halloween have their origins in Samhain, so changing the name doesn't affect what's going to be included or when it is released (although we're still not ready to reveal when the content is coming out).

It also means we can have the event last longer than the single day that Halloween is
