Hey I have an Idea, how about you kill all the mobs for me that is around me and I just lay here dead so that I can talk to my clan, don't worry I'll just use a pot.

Happened to me alot. A mob use aoe and i die, use idol, die again and cant get up cuz of idol coldown. That sux

If you are all dying when you get hit once by an aoe attack, am I allowed to tell you to rebirth and pump more state points in vitality?
That way you would be able to withstand more than one hit.

Or will I be getting some hate mail for suggesting this?

Donko has it right, only aoe I have a problem with is when Ymir spams it 2 or 3 times on a row at 1k+ per hit

I understand how some people may lie down dead to steal xp, but who would actually train with someone that does that?

I'd rather have a dead person not get drops since a lvl 50 noob could lie down by Falgren the whole fight and he could get a dragon disk.

I'm pretty indifferent about this though.

Read my post on page 2. The situation you describe isn't why dead exp was patched out... it was for people who exploited together.
