Re: Congrats Krazykatz! Arawn's first Ancient Beastbone set

Sorry to bring up the old post but are these pictures from the live game? Reason i ask is because her wrists look different from the ancient bone wrists that i have acquired.

Her ancient wrists have the fur on both sides where as mine don't. Just curious because her wristbands look alot cooler than mine. Does anyone else's have the same appearance? In the words of David Wooderson, Matthew McConaughey in Dazed and Confused, "It'd be alot cooler if it did..."

One of the cool things about this is that this armor gives a direct boost to skills. So +200 Natures Touch means that you get a boost to Natures Touch that (I think) is about equal to +5, but you do not use any of the energy that a +5 would require. So you get all the power with no extra energy usage! Plus, if you ever get the skill up to level 50, a direct skill boost will allow you to go beyond the power that level 50 has. It's truly awesome!
It's sad that the bonuses for beastbone are better than dragonlord armor. Just like you said, the bonuses don't use up energy. So besides the resistances of the warden line of armors, dragonlord is actually a downgrade for some beastbone pieces. :?

Well done on getting full set.
I ‘ve been grinding for the last week to complete my set as well.

Maybe I am unlucky but I am only getting lesser, minor and common shards to drop.
I know bp and leggings should be harder to get but atm the greater and grand drop rate is messed up.

Anyone else experience the same or is it just bad luck?

This is somewhat true. I found while beta testing that my healing was higher using Ancient Beastbone vs full Dragonlord. The difference, as you said, is in the resistances. Beastbone is better for non-boss encounters while Dragonlord is better for bosses that have a chaos effect. You are going to need full Dragonlord before attempting mordis because you will need the resists the armor offers. Without it, you will get absolutely destroyed.

I only have the gloves so far, but for druid, it's true that the dragon gloves up skill level as opposed to just boosting (thus using more mana) -- however they ALSO add nature magic. I think the nature magic boost makes the dragon gloves better. I do not know about the other classes though. I imagine there are similar ability boosts for other classes? Ice/fire magic, etc?
