Re: Guide to Writing an In-Game Support Ticket
#21I think there should be in game moderators who watch for this type of thing.
Good recap. Thanks!Great guide btw
I've never heard this from OTM but i would assume it is helpful to be concise while trying to include relevant info (ie if you know the date and time -- including your time zone) an event occurred, then include it.
For example -
Subject: missing red crown from inventory
Killed snorri on jan 31 @ 1900 hrs pst with Clan Avalon on the Morrigan server. my character keridwyn received a red crown, server crashed, and on reset at approx 1922 pst the crown was missing from my inventory. Please restore to inventory. Thank you.
Compared to
Wtf?! Help!
My clan killed snorri and now the drop is gone and everybuddy is way pissed and i got kicked from my clan and ppl say i scammer wth otm i dont scam pls help
First is pretty clear about the issue and what i hope will happen, as well as giving details to help the support team know where to start investigating (I assume they investigate these claims - if not support please replace the ten golden camos, the white coven hats and rad set i dropped last week :p)
With the second it isnt clear what the person wants - what drop? When? Do they just want back in their clan? Etc
And there is nowhere for them to start investigating.
These guys are busy and if we want support requests answered promptly, we should do what we can to make the process simpler for them.
OK, have I fixed it adequately? You should edit that fact you can report scammers using the ingame support tool. You should not let your own opinion get in the way of a fact and especially making a guide for other players as it can be very mis leading.
OTM do the occasional ban and temporary bans so you saying "its not like they take the time to look at them" is wrong.
Other than that its a great guide for those who need to learn how to write a decent support ticket

for my point on this, i'm saying the "perception" is that nothing is done. Maybe warnings are given privately. Maybe things are looked into, but they don't feel the need to reply every single time. I get that, but that leads to a perception that nothing is being done. You should edit that fact you can report scammers using the ingame support tool. I agree. They should be kept private, but they should also have the ability to mute players for a set amount of time and temporarily disable their account so that OTM can look into things.Nice guide basalt
And i agree totally about the in game mods. Although i believe they should be kept anonymous to stop clan drama and people thinking that they are bias.
