If they charge us a fee for selling an item I'll rage at them, it's like gold is already so hard to come by

A tax would make sense actually, for the convenience as well as to act as a gold sink, low though like 3-5%

This game has the biggest gold sink I have ever seen in an MMO......every piece of Event Lux that go up in price each time and the Event Chests to a lesser extent (price is stable).

After all there are only a few ways to get more gold into the economy, more players grinding, same players grinding harder and the same with Plat sales ie increase average Plat buys per player or increase player numbers. Or win gold or Plat in Chests.

We don't have a tax on transactions currently so huge NO on any Auction House tax. I just can't see How this is necessary at all.

^ ikr it would be as unnessary as making stamps cost 10 gold, it's not a lot but what's the point

Every service will also charge u for it, mailing system only takes 10g a stamp but an AH will probably take more than that amount.

Id be for a auction house tax, i like being able to work out deals with players and such, an auction house would just be a npc. Cant offer/counter offer a npc, or such and i bet everyone would use the auction house if it was free and no one would sell items themselves. The auction house would be good and bad, so i think that auction house and normal trading should be evened out with a slight tax.

I give up trying to buy stuff. Sellers hardly ever in game when I am. 3 days trying to buy reasonable offhand for low level and still not bought.... I require an auction house instead of being at the mercy of sellers timing and charges in some cases.

3 days is not a long time, it took me 3 years to buy a broom of doom. Patience is key with buying things for your desired price, and offhands aren't always easy to buy. Eventually you'll find it though, dont lose hope.
