Re: Can the new engine make boss fights more epic?(DISCUSS)

This is a relevant subject to me, and believe me when I say that making all the aspects of the game more epic is one of the things I fight every day to achieve.
Without revealing too much of what is yet to come, I can say positively say that the fight against Gelebron is going to evolve new mechanics that will spice things up.

As some mentioned in this post, this is a mobile game, we might have more limitations than other pc mmo´s but every day we work in Celtic heroes we strive to make it better than it was yesterday. If you have the chance to join the next tower´s beta test give it a try, I´d be interested to know if you liked it.
The Skath legit fights are too much for the engine and or devices, too much going on in the area too frequent aoe's, even the drops are always described as "item name"
I'm all for improvements to visual gameplay as advancements are made in capability but sometimes it can affect actual gameplay just like it does on Skath for many, I hope keeping the gameplay will always be the main priority when considering how far to push the graphic limitations, enough players are already being forced to quit the game,
We kill every edl boss on sight including legits, except for Skath which is a huge plat drain for any melee class even with the applicable buffs/dps grouped Druid, I think this is more to do with the overbearing on devices making this more awkward than the encounter needs to be.
But of course I am looking forward to what the future brings :)

it wasn't a boast it was in reference to gameplay based on graphic limitations to devices and the engine, onyx is killed but it is less of a priority over other edl due, snorri or other raid camps

So you're likely going to makw the same mistake as you did with necro and make a boss that requires way too many players, effort, and plat items as well as complicated strategy to kill. A boss that many workds such as mine cannot even gather the amount of people to kill let alone get everyone to follow the strategy. Sounds fantastic.
I don't mind the Necro encounter if the rewards were worth it.

EQ and WoW, arguably the basis of many PC MMOs had quite a few challenging boss encounters. These MMOs were listed as inspirations by OTM staff, so I hope they are familiar with some of them.

Smolach, the current spring event dragon boss is a rehash of Ythair, and with long-respawning adds, it's not even fit to be a level 200 boss, especially after it followed Garanak, Urchaid and the Monolith, the challenge of the encounter really went south.
