Re: OTM, please come to the table

Yes everyone gets their skills evaded, but the difference is that warriors/rogues/rangers have auto attacks to make up for it. Druids and mages are primarily skills based, with very low armor and hardly any melee attack. So when skills get evaded it chews up our energy, and we are sitting there doing no damage taking hits with our weak armor. Not to mention that the skills we rely on get interrupted frequently, while melee attacks do not. This is why casters are at a disadvantage compared to other classes: we have no worthwhile melee attack.
This.

except on bosses where auto attacks are guess what evaded.

You don't level up on bosses.

Do mages have to put all points into a skill to be able to hit mob with it, only to then have it evaded?
what do u mean when u say this?
For bolas to land on a mob of level 220 it has to be at skill level 44 or will automatically fail. But even when it is skilled above the level needed to hit a mob, the mob can still evade it.
Unlike Mage spells aka rank 1 can hit a level 220 mob.
Couple of classes have spells like this. Actually all classes have spells like this. Except mages.

We are talking about leveling mobs, not bosses. And if you have an auto attack get evaded, your next 1 which is a second later won't get evaded. And on bosses or mobs with high defense, this is remedied often by taking an attack lix

I don't use bolas on lvling mobs. But if I did and bolas is evaded, I'm still auto hitting for 1k plus on mobs...same if my shadowstrike misses with my rogue. However I have had a ton of times my druids vines and swarm and strike will all get avoided and then I'm left with an extremely slow weapon doing very little melee damage getting pounded on taking a ton of dmg because my armor is paper thin compared to the other classes aside from mages.

I'm not sure why we're having this debate. We already said all classes need to have their evades looked at it. But when the entire source of dmg is evaded, then that's ridiculous.

And I have a bunch of points in dbl shot and points in steady and sharpen and I'm on a haste lix. My bolas fails on my lvling mob (which I only use bolas on bosses when it's needed) so I'm doing a continual steady amount of dmg.

Yesterday my druids dmg skills were all evaded on 17 different creatures during 2 lix. Despite having maxed abilities this isn't uncommon. So the source of all my dmg has been evaded. My rangers and rogues auto rarely misses.

On bosses that's a completely different topic than leveling mobs we are talking about.

No one said don't fix non casting classes. What's being said is its particularly troublesome when casting classes have their skills evaded.

I was duoing with a mage friend of mine. She had her lure, bolts, and firestorm evaded 11 times in a row. There's something wrong with that
