hopefully in future updates we will have those armored wolfs from gelebrons tower as our pets, that would be cool.

This was actually my expectation when they said we would have pet/companions in this game. Fierce-looking, combat beasts that accompany men in battle. Instead we get bunnies and puppies, it's laughable. I can just imagine what would Celtic armies in the past look like with their cute lil pets running alongside them, and feeding them while they fight each other

I agree first ones are pretty tame but we plan to have much more in future updates.

First ones are more to test the system and make sure everything works okay.

Don't want to come out of the gate with dragons, because how can you go better than a dragon?

I'm sure there would've been a middle ground. Going from puppy to dragon are extremes. Wolves, Tigers, Bears, Eagles. etc.
