Re: Pet slot and birds

You guys ought to know by now, once items are released, all stats are written on concrete.
Yup, as hats from before fashion slots existence...they will be doomed and only for collectors. Unless this time, there is already a lot of them lol
It's just that hey the birds aren't pets they're weapons. They said they'd bring pets in that event they had come out I think right. Birds are weapons not pets and now completely useless as they were the moment they came out of a chest.
THey are weapon because pet didn't existed at that time. It's like, the first pumpking head, it's a head armor, tho it sux and noone ever used it as an armor, and they even did the same as fashion hat later :)

This is pretty weak, no offense. People spent money to get those pets too. OTM actually has a new slot dedicated to pet. How big of a deal would it be to let the companions be equipped there too and actually allow them to be marginally useful. I feel a bit deceived on the 'companions' not goig to lie.
Afraid not, the initial birds were created as companions whereas the new pets have been designed as a new system.

The old companions will still continue to work as designed but the new Pets System is a new feature entirely.
I understand the frustration but the team do have good reasons behind it.

The Pets are not simply a re made Companions they are an entirely new system designed for Spring.

Companions are attached to the playermodel, have coding behind them that would not be modifiable to copy the Pets system and do not hook into a lot of the code the Pets system uses.

(Hunger, upgrade system, movement system)

As they were designed not to have their own slot changing them to be similar to the pets would probably not be possible.

At least move them to misc slot?
