I think it would be cool if there was a chance to catch pets, mounts, and fashion items. I realize the odds of catching them would be minuscule but it would be neat just the same. Remember the old school starting area with the flying snake things on the beach? Those snake-like mobs would make a decent pet that could be caught in the water. Perhaps a Swamp Kelpie, fishing pole broom style mount, sunken ship, etc would be nice mounts from fishing. For fashion how about: drowned sailer, merfolk, lost Atlantis, bla bla bla......Fishing could give fish that can be eaten for certain bonuses and depend on rarity.Idk what fishing would be good for honestly
There can be a mechanic where fish can be caught, and you can get baits that have certain %chances of catching fish, ranging from 2-1 normal-rare ratio to plat bait that has 1-2 normal-rare ratio. They can boost abilitys, stats, skills, haste, xp, etc! They can behave like lixs, restos, or ability/stat booster.
Tier 1 fish- 2x xp gain, 5minutes (expires on death also)
Tier 2 fish- 4x xp gain, 10 minutes (death does not cancel)
Tier 3 fish- 5x xp gain 15 minutes (death won't cancel)
Bait can also drop from all mobs! (With low chance) and boss ph
This would replace plat items and would really do some good for the player base.
