some sort of tournament for different levels of players would be really cool, like 1st 2nd and 3rd places could get some sort of gold amount and one tournament could be held per week.
That would just result in some players creating toons specifically for these and constantly winning.

Everyone creates PvP toons already. Won't change much.

Pve and pvp should have seperated mechanics.

Pvp should be about skill and tactics. Since the start of the "pvp beta" some players said it should not be implemented as it does not represent a well balanced pvp system. Yet others found it a fun addition and it got implemented the way it was and never really looked back to.
This game is aimed at pve and therefore balanced towards pve and teamplay.

Any changes made to the so called pvp will either backfire when you play pve on that class or in some cases have a positive inpact. But the discussion will start all over.

Pvp has been added for fun and until they seriously start thinking about implementing a good way to play and experience pvp I'd suggest to balance classes on pve experiences which is what the current state of the game is all about.
